Better than all

This place is not known for its sandwiches, mashed potatoes or bread..It's ALL about the Pot Pies. I say that very literally. If you walk in there expecting to have the best pot pie you've ever had, maybe with some mashed potatoes on the side, as long as they don't slow you down, you will walk out more than satisfied.

I have had almost everything there, it is all fairly good. Their open faced sandwiches and so on, very good, but that's not why I go there. I go there for two things, the pot pies and the gravy. Both home made and ready to order. You can take a dozen home or have a couple there. I hated gravy before I ate at Moffetts, Now I like many types, but know what's best.

I say this as someone who has literally made people eat their words along with the pot pie. I have gotten into argument with people, claiming Marie Calender's is better. Let's just say, they changed their mind.

Good Southern dishes. Nothing too special except for the Pot Pies and Gravy. Buy a dozen uncooked pies and take them home! I live in Diamond Bar and make the drive, it's worth it.

The Best Chicken and beef pot pies.

Great food and friendly a family owned place. Kinda like Home cooking but better.

Everything there is Great The best mashed potatoes not a lump in em. homemade gravys great hamburger steaks. soups. Rice pudding. Even the table bread is small fresh baked bread loafs with butter and honey they are great. They close at 9 pm.

Best chicken pot pie ever

Any dinner combination will include soup or salad, fresh warm bread, whipped potatoes, a side of veggies (usually overcooked) and dessert plus whatever entree you choose for about $12. The chicken pot pies are fantastic (you can get 2 for an addtl. $2!). I tried the beef pie once and it's fine, but I went right back to the chicken ones. The fruit pies are quite tasty, too!

• Pros: chicken pies, reasonable prices, easy to park
• Cons: overcooked veggies, inconsistent service
