In Short
With their signature black-and-white interior scheme (it is named Penguin's after all), this SoCal chain was one of the first brands to start the "froyo" craze. Born in the '80s and aimed at health-concscious customers looking for an ice cream experience without the calories, Penguin's offers a line of fat-free, sugar-free and dairy-free frozen dessert products. Each location has a variety of soft-serve and hard-packed frozen yogurts with many toppings from which to choose.

I like this place. I have been going to this place for delicious desserts. I love their variety of flavors and toppings. This is a little hole in the wall place.

Lovely location, plenty of parking, outdoor tables, super friendly service and excellent frozen yogurt with yummy interesting flavors, toppings galore. If you are watching your calories and have a craving for a special treat head for Penguin's. They have many choices that range from 8 calories to 22 calories per ounce and you don't have to sacrifice flavor for calories here. The 8 calorie yogurt is always and consistently fantastic, just as delicious as the 22 calorie. I've never been a frozen yogurt fan but Penguin's has won me over. There is a Pinkberry right across the street and I suggest you do a comparison. Hands down Penguin's rules.

Penguins has the best frozen yogurt. They offer the original European as well as a variety of other flavors, some consistant and some that change weekly. All the yogurts are fat-free and they also have a carbolite sugar free yogurt that changes weekly and is only 8 calories and carbs per ounce. They have a variety of toppings available, and for those not into yogurt they have ice cream and smoothies. For take home they have ice cream or frozen yogurt cakes, packaged yougurt quarts and pints as well as boxes of mochi. Inside there are 3 or 4 tables to sit down, and then there are 2 or 3 more outside. The workers have always been really nice and it's not typically too crowded. The only complaint I could have would be that the prices are pretty high, but no more than any other of it's type, about $2.50 - $4.50 per person depending on the size. Overall it's a great place and I've been going here for years!
