Best margaritas!!. I have taken so many people here because I always get thumbs up. It is family run and they always come by your table to ask how everything is. The margaritas are the best anywhere! Great food and huge menu selection.

Rudy's. You can't beat Rudy's in Monrovia! We eat and drink there at least once a week.....The food is always great and we do love the "happy hour" prices on the beers :) You must eat here when visiting Monrovia! Rudy is often there and says "hello" and to make sure everyone is happy! Truly one of my favorite restaurants :)

Fresh, Authentic, Delicious Mexican Food!~. My husband and I have been fans of Rudy's in Monrovia for many years, celebrating various special occasions there with friends and family because we love their food so much! My favorite is their Ropa Vieja ( Shredded, very flavorful beef with peppers~not spicy!) and we both love their Carne Asada with Shrimp Al Mojo de Ajo! (Garlic/Scampi Style Shrimp) You MUST try Rudy's Special Margarita~the BEST and I know margaritas!!!!! Their warm, fresh chips and salsa are terrific (again not spicy but delicious~ you can order hot salsa if you'd like)! I always tell everyone that their food is the closest to my mom's cooking that any Mexican restaurant has come! Authentic, fresh and delicious always! We would eat there everyday if we could! Worth every cent! The service is always great! Very friendly staff! We have never had a bad meal at Rudy's and have been there enough times to have tried MANY of their menu items! This great little family restaurant is within walking distance of a movie theatre! We have invited friends who have driven from as far as Long Beach to join us there a number of times!

This is not your Taco Bell. Very good food and service, clean. Try the Shrimp Cocktail. Good food, clean and good service. This is good rfestaurant food in Olde Town Monrovia. It's a family restaurant so expect kids once and a while. I'd suggest that one avoid Friday night. Too crazy with the Monrovia Street Fair etc.

Try the Shrimp Cocktail, about $10 but worth it. A Real Surprise. When I had it placed in front of me, I said: "I ordered a shrimp cocktail". It's unique and excellent and I have since duplicated in on my own home menu.

There are several other very good Mexican Restaurants on the side streets (East) off of Myrtle Avenue, more moderately priced.

Pricey. My cousins tried Rudy's at the Morovia Street Fair and Farmer's Market on a friday night when they had their food stand. They had told me that the food wasnt very good, especially the beans. It was also very pricey. They charged about 9 dollars for 2 tiny tacos and a small portion of beans.
