The Best Italian in CA. This restaurant we passed one of our best evenings. Excellent service, great food and the account has not been excessive. The best italian cuisine in California

i traveled extensively in Italy (my family is from Sicily and Rome) and also by Argentina.

Buenos Aires is a little Rome, where I tasted the best Italian food. Argentine people are mostly Italian.

I recommend this place because it has a family atmosphere, and it has given me luck with my future wife.

Disappointment. OK, so we really wanted to like this place. With the great reviews and cozy atmosphere, we were really looking forward to a nice romantic meal. We were quickly disappointed.

Our table was a few inches from another couple. We figured it would be busy on a Saturday night, but somehow the way they were seating tables they managed to squeeze as many people in half of the room. So our romantic dinner was shared with another couple, while we all were confused why half of the room was empty.

The service was sadly really bad. Maybe our server was having an off-night, but she was in no mood to take our order, she asked us if she had to tell us the specials and had a judgmental attitude when we didn't order wine.

Most disappointing was having an employee lingering over my shoulder as I was filling in the tip on the receipt. The second I closed the book, she grabbed it. Obviously they wanted us out fast!

So what was supposed to be a romantic date turned out to be:

- cramped and claustrophobic

- bothered by a rude server

- rushed, as we were thrown in and forced out

Oh and the food was pretty blah. The chicken was very dry. In general it was lacking flavor.

Won't be going back.

great place for drinks, food, and good time. this is such a great place to go and grab a quick drink, or a drink in general with friends or a date. ive gone numerous times and i live out in pasadena. i prefer going to divina cucina over other resturants that are closer to my home.

Pleasant Surprise. We were driving back from a weekend away, and needed to pull over so we could feed our kid and recharge — had no clue about the neighborhood and took a chance. The place was packed and we waited a bit, but the host was very receptive and found us a table timely. Food was excellent, and the service was even better. The owner was very personable making rounds to all the tables — even taking a moment to cheer up my son and cut his food into bite-size portions. We'll be back soon after finding this hidden gem.

Best Restaurant in Montrose.. This is by far the best restaurant in Montrose. When you walk in you are greated by the owners. Which is rare in LA. The servers are really professional. The food is great and the price is not expensive.

I have been a local in Montrose for 13 years and I have eatten at every single restaurant. Nothing compares to this place.

A cheap Attempt to be ITALIAN. I'm from Firenze Italy and new to America. one thing I know is if I'm going to eat Chinese food, I want authentic Chinese making my food. At Divina Cucina, you have Argentinean owners trying to play off being Italian. I am insulted by their claims to Authentic Italian food! Don't you have to be Italian to do that? Food tasted store bought. Nothing good about this place other than it looks pretty at night.

awesome hot bread and complimentary bruchetta. Great hot bread and bruchetta!

I want there 10s of times and I still like their food and their quick service! Not roomy but that is OK!

The owner takes pride of his work. I loved the mozzarella sticks and the fried Calamari!

good food, crowded and costly. Our neighbor took us this last weekend for our first time, we were seated promptly and the staff was courteous but not friendly. Seating very cramped and uncomfortable, have a disability and did not have room to move, meaning chairs almost touching. They need to remove one table in lower section to prevent customers and staff from bumping into you while you eat, I was bumped 5 times, wife and friend 3 times. Waitress was a little slow on follow up service. They may have been understaffed. Food was very good and tasteful with a good presentation. Desert was delicious. Wine and coffee was delightful. Cost of dinner was slightly overpriced, this could have been offset by more room and a little friendlier staff. We do not mind paying a little extra if full service is achieved. Would recommend to friends.

Average Italian-American food. I am a gourmet cook myself. Years ago I lived in Italy and still miss a lot its excellent and down-to-earth trattorias. Divina Cucina has nothing to do with real Italian food. It is a clear American take on it. That means both: non quality ingredients and cooking technics. Appearance is OK, and it is true that Montrose area lacks decent places. However, after I visited the place a few times I stopped going there.

Great Italian Food and Very Romantic. At Divina Cucina you can't go wrong! This is excellent Italian food, everything on the Menu is delicious.

The waiters and waitresses make you feel special every time and the atmosphere is just terrific. This place is very romantic and has a great wine menu. You can't go wrong at Divina and the prices are not bad at all for the amount of food you get.

If you are in the Montrose area check out Divina you will be glad you did!
