Groovy ambience and good food to boot

Sitting on the busy corner of Huntington and Fremont, and next to an emergency pet care facility, the Barkley is an unexpected find. Go in through the back and navigate the maze-like hallway and uneven floors, and you'll continue to be skeptical. Upon emerging into the dining room, you'll find groovy booths of black vinyl, red carpet and attentive bow-tied waiters-- a distinctly loungey atmosphere. The food, while not spectacular, is quite good-- warm homemade rolls, good chili, perfectly done fries. Prices are fair. Live music on weekends. All in all, a nice neighborhood surprise!
