Leslie at Ecco-Brazilian Blowout, Awesome Color and Cut.
Bummer that the miracle of Brazllian Blowout had too much controversy. LESLIE stopped doing it once there was even a QUESTION of safety. Just another reason to trust her with my hair. Thanks Les for keeping us safe.
You can always tell a good stylist when your hair always looks great--even when the cut "grows out." LESLIE is a fantastic stylist --even when it's been several months since my last haircut, I still get compliments on how great my hair looks. She also is great at color--she is a real artist with the different colors--it always looks natural and never "over done." Leslie is upstairs in a private room, so it even has a little bit of a "spa" feel since it's away from the hustle and bustle of the downstairs beauty center. She has a great eye and will be honest and will always make you look great.
She's only here Tuesdays and is usually pretty busy, so make your appointments. However, always call because Leslie is good about accommodating people without appointments--but only as long as it doesn't over book her day and make other clients late (which is something I totally appreciate). The other days of the week, she's at Juan Juan Center in Beverly Hills.
Anna at Ecco Hair Studio in South Pasadena, is a GEM..
It took me 2 years to find a great hair stylist. My wife LOVES my haircuts and they have helped me professionally (honestly).
When she asks how I want my haircut, I tell her "Anna you are the expert." She understands my style, matches it with a great cut, and recommends great (reasonable) products. She has never failed.
(As a note, I have heard other stylists in the studio refer to Anna as a color expert. I do not have my hair colored but that sounds like a strong endorsement.)
Beyond being a stylist, she is young and hip, speaks multiple languages, and is a fascinating person to chat with.
Love this salon - Fun Vibe and Great Service. I have been a client at ECCO for nearly a year and it's time to share my enthusiasm. Robert does my color and cut, and evert time I leave it looks and feels great. Today it dawned on me what an eclectic and diverse salon it is - something for everyone. All hair types were being catered too in the festive atmosphere. I surely do not miss my former "old lady" salon. The vibe is great and everything feels more chic and hip. I have tried several stylists there and have been please by the blowouts. I have even taken each of my three kids in for a great cut for special occasions. Stephen, one of the co-owners is always so welcoming, and I appreciate that each time I am in. Go try out ECCO - you'll love it! Plus - they seem to stay running on time. Once they actually called to say they were 15 minutes behind - who does that?!
Karina does a great job. Ecco was recommended by a friend, and I have enjoyed every trip here. I went to Karina for foil highlights and a cut on more than one occasion. She is Vidal Sassoon trained, but charges less than others with similar training as she's still building her business. Of course it's still not cheap: about $150, but she does do a good job and does what I ask! Not many stylists listen as well! The salon experience is great: it's bustling and friendly, not stuck up at all. I have moved and the salon is too out of my way now, but I would recommend it to anyone in the Pasadena area for a quality job and a great experience.
Didn't like the place.. Go to a professional salon with a solid reputation instead. Bad haircut. Took months to grow out. A friend had a bleach job where her hair almost fell out. It was really bad.
