Closed!. My husband and I were excited to try this place after checking out the other reviews. Well, it's closed and the space has been developed into condos. So, don't bother driving around looking for it.

A-Mex done right. Great Burgers and Burritos.. This little crowded burger stand on Walnut has been serving the masses for a lot of years. This is one of your ground beef burrito stands, so don't go there expecting authentic Mexican food. What you will find however, is an array of classic Pasadena cuisine. Burritos, Burgers, Tacos, Fries, and Shakes. The Spuderito is an interesting attention getter but I would recommend more of the French Bread Cheeseburger or a 'Combo E', a combination burrito with everything. (Tomatoes, Lettuce and Onion) Rick's hot sauce is great and goes well with their burritos and tacos and even on their fries. Their prices are still reasonable, the service quick, and the food good enough to keep this place packed at lunch and dinner, 7 days a week.

Instantly satisfying Mexican American standards. My boyfriend had been trying to drag me to the home of the "Spudderito" - a burrito-like concoction with cheddar cheese, french fries, and hot sauce - forever before I agreed to go. To be honest, it was one of the tastiest things I've yet to intake in Los Angeles, although I was confronted with about 2 hours of post-spudderito comatose from such a fatty lunch. Don't expect much atmosphere from this curb-side grease spot, but it you've got a rock hard stomach and just two bucks for lunch, you can't miss this "institution" for a quick fix.

Help Save Ricks Drive In !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. This place is a Pasadena Icon and is in danger of being shut down. The owner of the property that the restaurant is located on wants to build condos there and ricks is being forced to relocate or close. If your a fan....please help them find a new location and you can make suggestions at ricksdrivein. com or go by and show your support and enjoy a great meal. If you haven't been yet then you should go now!!!! You will be a fan after the first taste......everything is good.

Good food at a great price. I'd seen Rick's for years, but until I recently took a job in the area, hadn't had the opportunity to try it out. Ordered a Spuderito, taco and a drink (for about $5) and was pleased overall. There's not much parking, and during the lunch rush, its a little slow, but I'd definitely go back again.

Home of the "Spuderito," this hamburger stand has been making its french fries famous since 1964.. In Short
Hungry patrons--local businessmen, teenagers, construction workers--wait patiently on the sidewalk for their orders to pass through the small service windows. Outdoor-only seating authenticates the old-fashioned hamburger-stand experience. The simple menu board lists staples like hamburgers, tacos and burritos. French fries can be folded inside the "Spuderito," a concoction of shredded cheddar, french fries and plenty of fiery hot sauce in an oversized flour tortilla.

worth the drive. It's so hard to find a decent hamburger joint these days that I still drive all the way from Whittier to Pasadena just to bite into Rick's burritos and fries. The hamburgers are always juicy, the tacos are always fresh, and the burritos will leave anyone's mouth satisfied. Beware - there is only outside seating, but it's still worth the trip to eat on your way home. If you happen to be in Pasadena and all the trendy restuarants are full or have rediculous waiting times head up to Rick's - it will be well worth it.
