ok, might try it again – Went here and ordered the dynamite (too spicy for my taste), the crispy rice with spicy tuna (they put tomatoes in the spicy tuna - who does this...this really upset me) and the Waikiki Roll - this roll was great, would get it again. The best thing about this place is they have pitchers of beer.
Overpriced and low quality fish n foods!! – Gee, there r soo many changes after a year eating out here. ( i did gave 4 star to this place a year ago) but now i cant even hardly give 1 star BECAUSE :
1-They keep hiring staff who can`t even speak english (so hard and waste a time when i go or order by phone)
2-The Food quality is going BAD (even the people who sit next to me complain to the server about SOME foods,so thats mean its not just my tounge)
3-The price is now going up so MUCH and at the same time the quality n service is going down so MUCH too.
4-Do not eat here unless you want to spend ur $$$ for something not fresh, frozen, bad quality and no taste foods!
I wont come back here to eat and i believe with this kind of bad reviews IN and OUTSIDE the internet, soon this place will be just a bad dine out history of pasadena.
Loved every bite! – Wow! Seriously delicious, not kidding. Everything was perfect and we loved how the restaurant incorporated it's location in the menu. The Pasadena rolls are great! Sushi was fresh and the California rolls were amazing. The service was friendly and pleasant.
The tempura vegetables were a bit greasy and the sorry salad was not necessary. I also don't think that french fries should be on the menu.
Forget This Place – We with my wife have been customers of the above named establishment for over 5 years. Although the overall level of service kept declining over the last 2-3 years we decided to give them yet another chance as the quality of food used to be OK. (Although has never been good value for money.)
This time we were unable to get a glass of water each (got one glass only), took 3 attempts to get a menu (one for two of us), got whatever we never ordered 2 times (!!!), and NEVER got what we actually ordered. Even worse, our server refused to take orders from the menu saying that whatever we selected was either not available or available for only twice (!!!) the price shown on the menu.
We tried to talk to a manager who hardly speaks English. (Part of the problem must have been the same with the server.) When we decided to leave and give up they made us pay for a $10.95 +tax item we actually never received.
Great lunch place – Sushi of Naples may not be Nobu, but it is a great casual place for lunch or a quick dinner. The sushi is fresh, no frills and tasty and the staff is exceptionally nice. I have been going there for several years and everyone welcomes me by name.
Good Sushi – After walking by for almost a year, I finally bit the bullet and tried out Sushi of Naples. It was crowded, but we were able to find seats at the sushi bar. The fish was good quality, and the chef was friendly and prompt. It was a positive experience, until we got the bill - $90 for 6 rolls and 2 pieces of sushi is a lot, especially for lunch for 3 people. I'd go again - as soon as my bank account recovers.
TERRIBLE SERVICE, ORDINARY FOOD – On a Sunday night, two of us were seated as soon as we arrived. The ordered drinks came promptly. Our waiter took longer to come back to take our food order. It took 25 minutes for our food to come. It tasted ordinary/average. We were only checked once if we still have drinks within the hour. In other words, we were waiting for our server to come back to get our refills. We asked for our check as soon as we were done. 10 minutes later, it still did not come. we waited for another 10 minutes and it did not come. Our waiter was nowhere to be found. We decided to get up and just go to the cashier to pay for it ourselves. The cashier had to ask a ridiculous question like what table number where we. Of course we replied that we didn't know and juts pointed out where we were seated. She rings up the bill and hands it over. Our waiter sees us and just says sorry and thanks for coming - NO SINCERITY!!! What a way to treat their customers.
Excellent! – Delicious, fresh neighborhood sushi joint. Warm, friendly welcome, nice atmosphere....love the crunchy roll and the albacore dream is in fact, a dream! Love this place...good happy hour at the bar. All around excellent sushi place.
Best sashimi around Pasadena – WE went around 2:00pm, the sushi chef was very friendly, knowledgable and skilled. The fish is very fresh, and they do make a great sashimi. The chef will recommend you the speical of the day, which is the freshest stuff you can get of the day. The chef will also accomended your like, so feel free to communicate your idea with them. The yellowtail belly and toro was excellent. And the salmon with twisted fusion was great too. Habachi special, orange clam and Uni was ok. They are very generous on giving the portion too, they gave us extras sashimi for lots of the order we did. Their fresh made unagi was wonderful! Big eye tuna and tamago was very nice too! Overall, their quality is very good - compare to so many sushi restaurant that I have been too! (competable with Matsuhisa!!!)
