good sushi, authentic japanese food, really great place, excellent plates, particularly authentic specials, love baked scallops, friendly staff
Friendly, Intimate, delicious food. being small makes it intimate and homey feeling but sometimes crowded. If you are in a hurry say so when you sit down as the service is sometimes a little slow, the owner and staff are friendly, caring and do their best to please. The food is very good and generous in portion, the menu very healthy. The sushi is traditional, not a lot of fancy rolls, but for those who appreciate quality, and personable sushi man you won't be disappointed. There are many weekend regulars who add a warmth and humor to the sushi bar. Did I mention that Hori is a GREAT sushi man?
Mmmmmmmmmmmm good.. I am, or never will be, a restaurant snob. I do not know what good or bad sushi is ( I would never touch the stuff myself), but all the dishes I have eaten at Sachi Sushi to date have been perfect. It is not extravagant at all, but I am not looking for that in a place to dine. I am just desiring a calm place to have dinner with a friend where the cuisine is cooked well and there's not a lot of hooplah. Sachi Sushi has all these characteristics and would reccommend it to anyone. it is very handy that it is right across the street from the Laemelle Theatre too so it makes for a good night out.
Authentic, fresh Japanese fare. I love this place! Very authentic Japanese food with such a cute atmosphere! Very "local" feeling. If you think PF Changs is AMAZING, don't go here. My guess is the last reviewer was one of those people.
Disagree with other reviews. The only part I can agree with the other reviews is that service is slow. The food wasn't that great, which made the prices seem high in comparison. It seems the place gets a lot of regulars there, but I don't see why that is the case. The best thing about the dinner I had was the fact that the green tea was hot. That's about it. They didn't even have tuna! Disappointed.
Great food, nice atmosphere, mediocre service. This is one of my favorite sushi restaurants. You can get a bountiful sashimi dinner for less than $15. The sushi is delicious, generous, and most importantly, FRESH!! The restaurant itself is cute and usually pretty packed. They do have outdoor seating with heatlamps. Service is a bit slow and unresponsive but that's probably because they're so busy.
Great authentic Japanese food with great value. I've been going to Sachi for years now. I love the fact that their non sushi dishes taste comparable to the restaurants in Little Tokyo. I love their baked scallops on california roll. Sachi's lunch specials & lunchbox are good deals. Their portion is very generous & their prices are pretty reasonable.
Simple and affordable.
Simple and affordable. Gracious and unobtrusive service. Consistent sushi and box lunches. Have been coming back with friends.
You can actually have a consersation and be able
to hear your partner.
Sachi sushi and Laemmle's theatre across the street make a great combination.
best sushi.
Great place to have lunch during work week.
Make sure you don't come around 12:00 you will be waiting to be seated.
