Made me Sick. I ate breakfast here on 4/5/2008. i ate Ribeye steak eggs scrambled w/cheese and fruit strawberrys and oranges, i ended up sick as a dog, and having to leave work. I will never eat here again and if you value your health you wont either..

ANOTHER LOUSY BURGER. You would think that a place that touts their burgers in their name would have a great burger....but this place has thin tasteless grey meat! And if you want a thicker burger they just pile on another thin burger.

You're better off going to Tommy's or In and Out. No reason to eat here unless you're stuck in the area.

The same goes for breakfasts...everything is jut OK. Nothing to rave about or even be proud of if you're the owner!

Novelty wears off. The great attraction about Wolfe Burger when it first opened was that there were no other places in Pasadena where you could get a high quality burger "to order". You could watch them make your burger and put your own toppings on it. These days you can get that...and do that in a lot of places...most of which can do it for you and MUCH MUCH faster. Wolfe Burgers will always have its devotees...but I'm not really impressed these days. The last time I was here with friends, we waiting nearly an hour for our order. Where do you wait for burgers that long? I can't think of a single place...not even high-end restaurants. If they upgraded and expanded, I might reconsider.

Horrible customer service. Horrible service! I had to wait for an hour for just one order of a burger and fries. When I went to ask the manager what had happened, he was very rude and said that it will be out soon with no apology. Overall, I don't recommend this please, the food was cold, it seemed like they lift it on the counter for a long while. Spend your money else where trust me it is not worth it at all.

Worst Customer Service. The customer service was by far the worst I have ever experienced. I made 1 order on the phone and they charged me for two. When I got to the place, they would not refund me. I repeatedly told him that I made 1 order only and the manager named Dino argued. I would of stayed and demanded my money back, but I had to go back to work. This place is a rip off. No customer service at all . The new manager named Dino was extremely rude. Save your money and time, plus the food was terrible. The food was cold and the fries were dry. The new ownership ruined this place.

left me envious of vegeterians. "Pasadena institution" is quite the pedigree. Being new to town, I was initially skeptical of such claims. However, successful experiences at other heralded burger institutions like pie and burger and father's office, had begun to wipe away my cultivated new yorker cynicism. Wolfe Burgers changed all this and left me longing to embrace vegetarianism.

In fast food-land, decor and cleanliness takes the place of service as a non-food related differentiator. Wolfe Burgers performed satisfactorily here, which turned out to be the only hurdle this establishment managed to clear.

I ordered the burger with a slice of avocado and swiss. The acoutrements to the burger were not memorable, except for the ortega whole green chiles which was a nice touch, free at the condiment bar. The villain was the burger itself, which suffered from two unrecoverable problems -- 1) this thin burger patty was done around the edges but left red in the middle... telltale signs of a burger that spends the bulk of its time on the grill defrosting, as opposed to cooking. 2) the burger itself was utterly tasteless. While I appreciate the push and pull between burger taste and fat content, perhaps Wolfe Burgers can blend in a higher fat-content cut like chuck so that the burger develops a taste profile distinct from the styrofoam upon which it was served.

Not bad. Not great...but not bad.. Ok, the fries are good, but they are very similar to In-N-Out. The burgers are not bad, but I guess I just don't feel as though they aren't like many other burgers that I've had. A plus/minus is that you have to dish up your own condiments: onions, pickles, mayo, 1000 Island, relish, etc. This is good, because in this manner nothing is wasted: you get what you want without having to toss what you don't. Again, there's nothing wrong with this, but I just don't trust the "all hand on deck" aspect. It's a judgement call. The employees are very nice, the back patio is quaint, and the price is on the spot; I just wish that there was a little more character in terms of being unique. Oh! The onion rings are delicious! :)

The Best Fries In Town. When I first got into town my brother immediately started raving about this place in town called Wolfe Burgers. He said they had the best burgers in town and they should not be missed. Now I have to admit I am not a HUGE burger fan. Don't get me wrong I can appreciate a good burger just like everyone else but it's not the sole reason why I visit a burger joint. For me a burger joint is not truly a burger joint unless they have top notch fries to accompany a premium burger. And in this case I was not disappointed.

Wolfe Burger serves up a premium burger. But what makes this burger is not the condiments (which there a wide variety of), it's not the bread & nor is it the seasoning. What makes this burger a premium burger is the meat. It's fresh and lean. You can really taste the quality of the meat in the very first bite. Now when you combine that with hand cut fries; they don't peel the fries here and thank god they don't. That's where all of the flavor is. Plus they must change the oil frequently. It's never dirty. The fries always taste fresh. And if you don't like the fries you can upgrade to the onion rings, zuchinni sticks or the fried mushrooms. They are very genorous in their portions. When you try the sides don't dip them in ketchup. Try the ranch dressing you will be glad you did.

And if you get there early enough for breakfast try the rib eye steak, 3 eggs, potatoes and toast for only $8.95. You will be glad you did. It's a real deal for that price.

As you can tell I am a fan of the place. Hey what can I say, I love great food at a great price. Besides the service is great and at least one of the many tv's is always on the ESPN or The Sports Channel. It's a great place to read the paper on the weekend and catch up on all my favortie sports

Low-key burger joint and Pasadena institution.. In Short
Green plastic garden chairs, benches and styrofoam cups contribute to this joint's casual, back-yard vibe. Customers order at the counter and take trays laden with fast food to the indoor dining room or courtyard patio. Burgers come in a variety of sizes--up to 2/3 lb--and types (there's a spicy turkey for the health-conscious). Toppings like chili gussy-up the patties. The breakfast menu includes Woofles (waffles) and breakfast burritos.
