They treat you like crap!. I usually don't write reviews but today I have to. I come to this place often as I like the food and I never had any problems until today and i'm still fuming. So I get to this place around 6:20 and they close at 7:00pm and my friend got there early so he got his food and was sitting at a table outside and there were a bunch of people eating outside still. I go to order my food and the guy says to me that at the moment they are only serving take out so I said ok no problem; I get my food and go sit outside at my friends table and not even a minute later..... they guy storms out leaving the cashier machine unatended (there were other customers waiting to order) and starts yelling at me telling me that he told me it was only take out and that I had to leave...I was a baffled... I turn around and I tell him that my friend was there eating already and thats why i was sitting with him to eat... he starts yelling some more telling me that he had told me it was take out only and that the other people ordering are going to start sitting if they see me sitting there. He was yelling at me in front of all the other customers who were baffled too and you can tell they were thinking "what the hell is this guys problem". This guy didn't tell my friend to leave, it was just me he was yelling to, so he wanted me to leave my friend there and just go somewhere else to eat; the whole thing didn't make any sense but he was furious; I was so pissed but I didn't want to lower myself to his level so me and my friend grabbed our plates and left. This was one of the most uncomfortable experiences and all for no real reason and as a result I will never come back to this place even though I like the food, nor will any of my friends. This is the classic example of one of those places that has so many customers so they don't care about treating them like crap so if you don't want to support that kind of behaviour from a business and want to save yourself a potential bad time I suggest not eating here as these people are truly idiots.

Best meal in a long time!. This place is spotless, FAST, cheap and the food is a 10! I ordered the beef kabobs that came with rice, pita, hummus, chili sauce and this insane garlic paste/condiment. I ate every single bit and only wish it weren't all the way in Pasadena.

I will be going back again and again!

Nice and Inexpensive. It's always a good day when you can find an inexpensive lunch restaurant with food tasty enough to want to go back to. It's kind of a speak-easy - there's no storefront on Lake Ave, but its worth the hunt. I had the chicken shawarma, with a side of falafel. It came with a small salad, rice, humus, pita bread and garlic sauce, all for about $10, and I ate every bit of it. Coworkers were also happy with the vegetarian platter and the falafel pita wrap. Definitely a place I'll frequent...

Great food Fast service!. This is a great lunch spot in Pasadena. The flavor of the food is awesome! Most of the food is premade, and meat is on a spit, there is a great team in the kitchen to get you your order before you are even done paying most of the time! For the low carbers out there you don't have to get the rice or hummus with your plate, you can ask for extra salad instead.

Yum. If nothing else, you have to try their Chicken Shawarma!!!!! Its THE BEST!!!!! If you know of any place that makes it better than them, please let me know. I've never even tried anything else at this place. As a matter of fact, I wish I was having some right now....

Kabobs for less!. You can't beat this place when it comes to mediterranean. Their food is good and the prices are reasonable, for $6-$8 per plate which comes not only with rice, but with pita bread, hummus and your choice of skewered b.b.q. meat. They are simple and fast, just perfect for lunch!
