BEST SERVICE AND PRICES!!! HANDS DOWN!!!!!. DON'T NORMALLY FILL THESE OUT BUT MY EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN SO GOOD I AM COMPELLED TO!! MY WIFE AND I MOVED TO PASADENA FROM CHICAGO A COUPLE YEARS AGO AND CAME ACROSS THIS DRY CLEANERS AND SHOE REPAIR. WE HAVE NOTHING BUT GREAT THINGS TO SAY ABOUT BOTH THE CLEANERS AND SHOE REPAIR. THIS IS A FAMILY RUN BUSINESS AND THEY TRULY VALUE EACH AND EVERY CUSTOMER. MY WIFE HAD AN EMERGENCY WITH SOME SHOES A DAY OF A WEDDING AND THE OWNER'S DAUGHTER CALLED HER DAD TO COME INTO WORK (WITH THE FLU) TO MAKE SURE THAT THE SHOE HEEL WAS REPAIRED AND WE MADE IT FOR THE WEDDING IN VEGAS THAT NIGHT!! THEY EVEN GIVE TREATS TO OUR DOGS WHISKEY AND LUCKY!! YOU GUYS ARE GREAT, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!
Great run family business. The store Zara in Pasadena referred me to this dry cleaners, and I was a little afraid after reading a few of the prior reviews. I had such a great experience with them! Great customer service, very friendly and they also did amazing work! They have same day alterations and have even taken spots out that other dry cleaners couldnt. I highly recommend them!
Ruined delicate garment.
I dropped off a brand new and extremely delicate blouse that I had just bought. It is a habit of mine to wash/dry clean anything new before even wearing it. My error was to not inspect the work upon pick-up.
When I decided to wear my new blouse, on a special occasion, I discovered a hole in the blouse on the vertex of my shoulder as well as outstretched fabric at the hip level. My figure is athletically lean so the stretch was quite noticeable. Due to time limitations that day I had to leave my blouse on as it was. I know for a fact that this blouse was intact when I purchased it, because I inspect every inch of any garment at the store before buying it.
It is not so much that someone by accident caused a hole in it while dry cleaning it because mistakes occur and these are repairable. My principal complaint relies on the fact that the store owner sarcastically implied, with a smirk on her face, that I had produced the damage and was intending to blame them. Thereafter, she immediately pointed at her employee, as a means to direct any possible accusation on her, and followed by assuring me that her employee was a cautious one!? That was an insult to my knowledge. Being a regular customer as I had been I already knew that the owner herself, as well as her daughter, was often involved in the dry cleaning process.
When she realized how inappropriately she had behaved, probably due to my dropped jaw and blank expression, she tried to make amends by offering to repair it. But that was it for me, her lack of class and professionalism, not to mention her attempt to direct my suspicions on her loyal employee, urged me to never return.
Poor quality rendered on alterations.
I took in my bridesmaid dress to this place because it was so conveniently located down the street from my place. I took it in for alterations. Already when I dropped it off I noticed that it was an expensive $40 for what I thought was a pretty simple job (a hem, shorten the spagetti straps and make the skirt a litte more fitted. Well, when I got my dress back the day AFTER it was promised and 1 day before the wedding, I was furious to see that the strand atlerations were large hand stiches! It looked horrible. Something I could have done myself (and should have done myself for the price they charged). The lady said she would fix if I brought it back later. I don't think these people are very knowledgeable in alterations because my job looked like something I could have done with thread and needle AND the hem was an obvious stitch, too.
Never again. Be wary.
BEWARE!. Green Street is owned by the same people as Magic Cleaners on Lake. I used Magic Cleaners sucessfully for many years... so I was shocked that when they damaged my jacket, they refused to take any responsiblity at all. Not only that... they put me off and promised me they "would take care of it" for a month before the finally admitted they had no intention of doing so. I believe in customer loyalty to small businesses... so I am sorry that the people who own Magic Cleaners and Green Street Cleaners to not feel loyal to those of us who support their business.
Excellent Dry Cleaning Service. They do a great job, excellent customer service, and very reasonable prices. I've had things tailored there, and I'd say it is standard, as far as I can tell. Plus, the girl working behind the counter is easy on the eyes....
Great spot to get your clothes cleaned!. I moved to Pasadena 2 years ago, and a friend of mine recommended this dry cleaners. After using the just twice everytime I came in they remembered who I was. I honestly really like it because its family owned and they actually care to make things look good because the owners are on the premesis. I read the other comment about Amy. I honestly think Amy is really nice. If you push someone enough, they might snap?? Im not sure! But all I know is everytime ive been their all the people that work there have been courteous, and welcoming, and they do a great job with my suites, shirt, and even my wifes clothes. Last time I was there, they were assembling clothes for the Pasadena Playhouse, which makes you think, if the playhouse trusts them, I can tooooo!
Worst Service for Shoe Repair.
I brought my heels in to add new soles. When I picked up my shoes, they were damaged in places I did not have work done. To make matters worse, AMY, the owner's daughter had a terrible attitude toward me when I showed her the damage that was done. Instead of getting customer service, I got an ill mannered person telling me that I had imagined the damage and refused to take responsibility for it.
To top it off, I sent my shoes to the shop in it's original wrapping and box. Amy tore the wrapping and dismissed me when I brought it up. Her response was, "it's just paper". My answer to her was that it was paper she didn't pay for.
They need to fire AMY who is the owner's daughter and hire some better workers in the front and back of the shop. This is truly a Mom and Pop shop that you want to avoid unless you like being verbally abused!
Highly Recommended!. I have been using this family owned business for years now! They do all my husbands shirts, they cleaned and preserved my daughters wedding dress, and they do all my shoes. I read a review for them listed on this site stating that the guy said these shoes are not worth repairing...the truth of the matter is, they are very honest people and if you take trash to them, they might just tell you. They beautifully restored my Fendi bag, and my favorite boots! I am so pleased and would recommend them 100%. They do the best alterations in town! Thanks guys!~
Decent shoe repairs, but rude. Brought several shoes to have them repaired. The last time, they did a horrible job on the repair, and when I pointed it out, the guy said, "these are cheap shoes! why are you bothering?" Well, if I am paying them, why are they questioning my decision to keep the shoes because they are really comfortable and I like the style of the shoes?? I asked them to repair them, so they should do so if they accept my money! Never again.
