It had been our Indian restaurant

This was the restaurant that my wife and I would go for Indian food. I agree with the reviews that the services is average, and it is totally outdated decor. However, the food was pretty-pretty-pretty good and I saw a lot of Indian families in there. So, I figured it was probably decent Indian food right?
I also agree that the management is aloof and on one occasion it was the owner or manager that was our server for the evening, he should stay in the back of the house.
Yet, the food was good. Not great. In fact, do not have any of the appetizers, they are not good at all. Also, I like my food spicy. I am a white girl - yes - but bring on the spice and they NEVER have made it spicy enough for me (even though I have asked).
After seeing the R (city search will not allow me to write the word in) review, I am sorry to say that I will probably not go back, rather pound the streets of LA looking for my new Indian restaurant.
- Pros: consistent
- Cons: dirty?
Bad food, bad service

Poor service - took them 15 minutes to just fill our water glasses and we had to go up to them and ask them to take our order...
Poor food - Don't know where to begin...the tandoori chicken was cold, the mango lassi was watered down, the paneer was horrible, the shrimps in the shrimp curry were the size of peas
BAD MANAGEMENT - told the manager on the way out that we were unhappy with the quality of food and service and her response was "Our food and service is always good!"
Never going back there.
- Pros: they validate parking
- Cons: everything but the parking
dirty

I've been here a few times, and it's pretty standard Indian food. However the last time I was there, I saw a r oach on the table cloth. When I pointed it out to the waiter, he said it must have come in from the outside. Funny, as it was one of the tables closest to the kitchen door. I got up and walked out, and I don't think I'll ever go back.
