The Scene – Set charmingly in an old clapboard house, this restaurant is so homey you'll be tempted to knock before entering. Lace curtains adorn the blue-trimmed windows; Western-inspired drawings hang on the cream walls. Seats at the counter and at a dozen or so small tables fill with white-collar types, college kids and families. Service is sometimes slow, always friendly. – – The Food – Renowned for its breakfast fare, Marston's offers the standard fare like sausage, pancakes and a dozen omelettes with fillings that range from smoked salmon to sun-dried…
Low Key, Relaxing, Great for a Girls Day out..

I have been to Marston's twice in the last 5 months. The first time was with a group of nine people on a Friday for Lunch. We had reservations, and were seated upon arrival. All of us were happy with our selections and the service was great. The Second time was on a Saturday afternoon with a friend. I had the French toast which was amazing and my friend had the an Omelet (Denver). This is a great place for a quick lunch with a few girlfriends. Not the best place for large groups.
- Pros: Outside seating, variety on the menu
- Cons: Little crowed,
Horrible Pancakes

I have never had such a terrible interpretation of pancakes?ever. Really, they were so thin that they were closer to a crepe and they were also gummy and undercooked. I could not eat them. My boyfriend had an omelet that did not impress him at all. The texture was weird for an omelet, like it had been scrambled overly much in the pan before going on to its life as an omelet. It had an identity crisis.
So, the staff is friendly and Marston's appears to be incredibly popular as it's always packed, but if you can't cook an omelet or pancakes properly, you shouldn't open for breakfast.
- Pros: Friendly staff
- Cons: Alarmingly bad pancakes
Great Breakfast Place
by escalera23 at Citysearch
This hole in the wall restaurant is one of my favorite breakfast places. It is a great spot for anyone who enjoys a good breakfast such as a tall glass of orange juice, eggs cooked to perfection, or ?grandma?s oatmeal? that is to die for. The prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly. The only setback is that the restaurant is small so the earlier you get there the better. With their variety of choices and home style ambiance you will feel like you are enjoying breakfast right in your own home!
- Pros: Great Food, Friendly Staff
- Cons: Crowded
