great fun place, great bar, great drink, fun atmosphere, good afterwork spot, great people, attentive staff
Old Town Pasadena's signature dive bar's recipe for success: fried food, flowing beer and friendly faces..
In Short
Catching a buzz and the big game at this rough-and-tumble neighborhood bar has been a Pasadena pastime for more than 40 years. The "Diver," as it is affectionately known, is a family owned and operated, no-frills, watering hole that hasn't changed much since it opened in 1962. Boisterous banter, alcohol propaganda decor and stale beer smell are trademarks of this sports bar.
Great Dive Bar in Old Town. The 35er is a great place to go if you don't feel like going to one of those Hollywood type bars. Its got a relaxed atmosphere, the staff is friendly and there are always a ton of cool people to talk to. It seems like there are always drink specials from various beverage reps. Its in the heart of Old Town, so you can always walk down the block and see what else is going on Colorado.
35er is great!!. I've been to many bars and I have to say that 35er is definitely one of the best ranked in my book. It's a great place to drink and play billiards. Did I mention the free popcorn?
Good Stuff. What can I say...it's a great place to play pool after work and order a pitcher or two...Not a fancy place, but a friendly place.
Best Bar In Old Town!. The 35er is without a doubt the best bar in Old Town Pasadena. It was the first bar I ever went too, and I've been to many others and none compare to the 35er!
A Real Bar.
The Fiver's the best place around to just hang out, have a good drink and meet good friends.
Its not one of those hip, trendy places that have a line outside Friday and Saturday but are dead the rest of the week. There's always a good group here.
Peace,

it's just ok.. Perhaps its just me but I always seem to walk right by this place. Sure, they can serve up a decent drink, and the staff aren't the arrogant bullys that swarm around the other bars in Old Town, but this bar seems to be missing something. A decent place to meet your friends at but theres better outside of Old Towne.
Low key change of pace. This bar is a nice surprise in Pasadena. Absolutely no pretense, dark but not dirty, down-to-earth clientel make this a good afterwork spot or destination on any night. Good music on the juke leans toward rock and alt.
Great Atmosphere!. Great people, Great location, a place worth being if you are in Old Towne any day of he week.
new years eve. My boyfriend and I went in here for New Years Eve. We thought it was ok and at least we got a place to stand and rest our beers. The downstairs offers somewhere else to walk. We went again a few ago and it was still pretty decent. Bathrooms are small for ladies. Only 2 pool tables.
