Budget priced motel rooms within walking distance of Pasadena's Old Town.. The Scene
With 62 basic, but bright and pleasant, guestrooms surrounding a swimming pool in the courtyard, this budget motel offers good value in a great location, just blocks from the shops, cinemas, museums, galleries, restaurants and cafés of Old Town Pasadena. All rooms feature large beds and televisions with free HBO.

The Details
Connected to the inn, a very authentic Thai restaurant, Chandra, is open for lunch and dinner, and also provides spicy room service or poolside deliveries. Mornings feature a free newspaper and a complimentary coffee, fruit and pastry breakfast, which can be enjoyed on courtyard tables by the pool. There is also car rental service on the premises.

newly remodeled. I inspected Pasadena Inn ahead of time, when my family came to visit me, and found pleasant, spacious, clean, motel-style accomodations. When my family checked in, they kept telling me, "What a nice room!"

Not only is Chandra restaurant next door, the very nice Parkway Grill, Arroyo Chop House and Houston's restaurants are all walking distance. Old Town Pasadena is also just a few blocks away. Trader Joe's, too, so you can stock the fridge in the room!

And its just two blocks from the new Metro Rail Gold station, too.

Pasadena Inn offers no great views, no gift shops or spas, but they do have nice rooms, decently priced.

During my familys visit, they spent subsequent nights at a cheap chain motel, and then at an expensive chain hotel. But after the trip, my family said, "We should have stayed in Pasadena Inn the entire time we were here.
