What People Are Saying About Wild Oats Natural Marketplace

In Short – In addition to organic produce, dairy items, meats, fish and bulk foods, this national chain prides itself on a wide selection of vegetarian and vegan products, herbal and homeopathic remedies, dietary supplements and full-service seafood, meat, cheese and deli counters. Those looking for specialty products such as wheat-free baked goods, free-range bison steaks or anything soy-based won't be disappointed.
Editor's Tips
- The Extras:
- Wild Oats is the first food retailer in the United States to replace its traditional plastic deli containers at some locations with a corn-based version (that's right: corn) made from an annually renewable resource (again: corn). The corn-based packaging can be returned to the store for composting.

We Miss You

This place WAS a gem . Whole Foods bought the chain. It is now a Fresh and Easy. The only thing that is as nice are the tables on the patio. Parking is easier but less reason to want to park. Peets coffee next door is still worth stopping the car.
I'm so sad to say.....................

I'm sad to say they are no longer at 603 South Lake Ave. I looked for them asked around and nothing. I don't know if they just moved or went out of business. I find it odd if they did there were always people there. If anyone knows where they have moved to please send me a message please.
- Pros: Best health food store I have ever been to.
- Cons: NONE!
Convenient quality

Though not my regular grocery store, I like browsing and getting ideas for foods to prepare. They have a big nutrition center in the back by the deli, which has anything you're looking for.
- Pros: Inspiring
new agey, upscale grocery

Wild Oats is where I shop for 'good' groceries when I don't have the time to go out to Whole Foods. Wild Oats lands a little more on the granola/birkenstock side of the fence than foodie, but the quality and selection of food here is first rate. The meat counter is small, but the produce quality is generally quite good. This store also has an excellent supply of bulk dry goods. Good vitamin/supplement selections as well. Wild Oats is also next door to Peets coffee and a Noah's bagel shop--a nice morning combination. Parking can be dicey if you go in a prime shopping time, but I've never actually had to leave the lot to seek parking on the street.
- Pros: produce, bulk goods, vitamin selection
- Cons: butcher counter
Super Fresh Food
by SGabriel
Other than the farmers market, this is the only place I will buy my fruits and veggies. The food is always in season and incredibly fresh. Whenever Im making something new, Ive found the staff to be helpful and knowledgeable. I also love the bath and beauty section in the back. My only complaint would be about the deli. The deli has great food, but its not organized and people often end up waiting 10 to 15 minutes to get served.
