Best Teriyaki in Pasadena. The best teriyaki place in the area. I've been going to mako bowl for years now and the food is always great there. The teriyaki sauce is soooooo good. Just the right amount of sweetness. If you want a little kick try the spicy teriyaki sauce. Great for lunch or dinner. Price is very reasonable but you really go there for the food. They only use fresh thgih meat chicken which is nice and juicy and they also use fresh cut vegetables that are steamed. Its a great meal for kids too cause its healthier than a burger or pizza and the kids love the teriyaki sauce. If you're in the mood for something other than teriyaki chicken try the chicken katsu ( Deep fried chciken cutlet ) or the Japanese Nuggets ( soy garlic marinated chicken pieces that are deep fried). Want something lighter try the salmon sushi bowl or the spicy tuna bowl. Salmon is fresh wild atlantic salmon. The sushi rice has just the right amount of sushi vinegar which is neither too sweet or too sour. There's a lot to try at mako bowl so thats why i'm a once a weeker. Enjoy!

If you dont like the sound of maggots in your food, dont eat here!. so i basically opened this account to inform people who like mako bowl in hastings ranch to stay away. i went there with my boyfriend today to get some late lunch. As im eating my edamame it starts to taste foul. I open it up to find maggots! thats right MAGGOTS! I am so grossed out by this place, and to add insult to injury the people there would not refund my bill... they only tried to offer me another cup of edamame. so all in all, you want to eat there, fine... but check your food before you bite in, you might be surprised

Japanese Chiken Nuggets. Try them!

Order just a side of white rice and some Japanese chicken nuggets. Add a little of the hot sauce and soy sauce, and you'll have a fine lunch for 3 bucks. If you need your veggies too, grab a "spicy chicken terryaki" bowl. Fresh vegetables will accompany your tasty chicken and rice.

Quick, tasty, affordable and healthy. Avoid 12-1, it's really busy.

The price is right.............. What a great place for lunch and inexpensive too. My favorite is the Teriaki Bowl, just the right amount to fill you up and still leave you able to work the rest of the day. Since I'm a very picky eater you can almost take this as a 10-star rating. Mostly because of the people that work there. For a little hole-in-the-wall place when you give your order you get what you ask for. I recommend this for lunch at least once per week. If you bring a friend along to keep you company, it's not too bad to eat there. But usually I just order to go and enjoy my food at my desk where I can surf the net or do user reviews like this one.

It's all about the California Rolls. California Rolls are Cheap! Cheap! Cheap! You can get 4 California rolls for $1.99. Included in the price are wasabi, ginger, soy sauce, and ginger. Can't beat that! Their tempura is also very reasonably priced and rather tasty, a little oily at times, but heck, a little oil can't hurt.

The Best $3.50 Lunch in Town. Fresh grilled chicken over rice with some mixed vegatables and teryaki sauce. Original? Hardly. But it's cheap, always good, and a small teryaki bowl will keep you full for hours. Another good bet is the Udon soup. Get it to go...they give you about 50% more. Try the Teryaki Bowl with the red pepper sause to add some spice. Good stuff.

Good cheap lunch. You can get an enormous plate of teriyaki here for $5 or so. They also have sushi and burgers.
