Unhappy customer. I loved my old stylist (Aveda Salon in Torrance) but since I moved to Pasadena I thought I'd try an Aveda Salon closer to me. This salon is friendly and they don't force products on the customers but my overall experiece has not been good. My first visit, I instructed the stylist to just trim the great cut I'd received from my former stylist. On the second visit, I brought photos and told the new stylist I was growing my hair out. She managed to mangle my hair: it was uneven, didn't look anything like the photos I'd brought (long bob), she layered it (what??) so that it flipped up, not under. Very unhappy. The owner said the sytlist would redo the cut, but the damage was done. I let her try trimming my hair once more after letting my hair grow out again for a few months and this time I was charged for a full hair cut when all she did was unevenly trim the side edges. Nothing was done to the bangs or the back and it wasn't texturized. Perhaps the other stylists at this salon have more experience with precision cuts or are more adept at listening and following customer instructions, but I will now either drive all the way to Torrance or find another salon in Pasadena.

Lovely Salon with a great Atmosphere. I visited Orpheum Salon for the second time last week and LOVE my hair. Everyone at the salon is so friendly and helpful. My experience with Allison was wonderful, she gave me the exact haircut I wanted. I have really fine hair and razor cuts make it look unhealthy, she knew to use shears, I didn't even have to request it. This is absolutely my favorite Aveda Salon.

Bad experience, my hair is now short !. I went to have my haircut by the owner, Gary and now my bangs in some places are 1/2 inch long ! I can't do anything with them. I had shoulder length hair and was growing out my bangs..now my hair is below my ear. He doesn't listen, he didn't ask, if I wanted shorter hair, he just went scissor happy. Never again ! I hate it went sytlists don't listen to their clients, and instead do what they want !

one of the best haircut and color and stylist ever,. the stylist , vanessa has been doing my hair now for 4 years. this will be the first time i have written about her and i do not know why i waited so long. every time i come into see her she always treats me with respect , you should hear all of my crazy ideas and she always keeps my style up to date and easy to do. she always has time for me (she fits me in when i call at the last min). my hair is curly,thick and long and most stylist run for the door when i come in, vanessa does not treat me and my hair like something a stylist would not want to touch. she is great with color, she has been trained well, she has brown hair her self so she is not a stylist who wants to always bleach my hair out till is is dry. she love Japanese culture and modern art, how can you go wrong with her

Best experience ever. The styilists were awesome. My stylist Jenny gave me the best haircut and style ever. I was very pleased with the service. And the prices were great. I highly recommend this Salon and stylist. For all you singles out there she is good looking to.

UNEVEN HAIR!. I tried this place when a friend recommended Aveda salons and I end up with uneven length hair! My left side was longer than my right side! They couldn't fit my schedule and booked me at 7:30pm and made me wait. Not recommended.

this place is great. This salon has a very laid back atmosphere and the staff is pretty cool. I got a decent cut for a good price (especially for an Aveda salon). You should give this place a try.

Best value in Pas!. Albert is a GENIUS with color. I went expecting to require a color correction; he was able to fix my color with a single process solution.

Cut was good also. On-time appointment. No pushy sales pitch for products.

The staff here is friendly & unpretentious. Parking can be a problem if the adjacent lot is full. Overall, a great value & definately worth a try.

Decent prices. Good prices for an Aveda salon. I went once and didn't get a great cut or service, but I decided to ty it again because it's a relatively inexpensive cut with good products. I'm so happy I gave Orpheum a second chance. I have naturally curly hair which isn't easy to cut. It really takes a stylist who knows how to style hair and Stacy was it. She talked to me, found out what I wanted, gave her input and the style came out fantastic. I would recommend this salon to anyone with any type of hair.
