Good shopping but a little chaotic.
I try to visit this location every few months looking for craft finds or things to refurbish. Anything, really that catches my eye. Sometimes you have to dig or wade through racks or stacks, but there are some treasures.

Very...empty.
I am a thrift/vintage store junkie and this store was a major disappointment. The women's racks were practically empty and those that were hung were of poor quality. It wasn't very clean and the prices were consistent with all other Out of the Closet stores, which isn't all that cheap.
The employees were really friendly.

not worth it.
My daughter and myself stop at this store because we saw a great outfit in the window, when my daughter asked for it she was told no. That they don't sell window items. most items all junk.

Can't Even Donate Good Furniture.
Wow... the Out of the Closet folks arrived this morning but would not take a dining table w/ chairs and a China cabinet we were trying to donate. They said it was not in good enough condition.
That's a joke... I would not try to donate anything in poor condition for starters. Not only that, I was at their shop only a week ago... and what I tried to donate was superior to anything they were selling.
Go figure?

Good finds for a good cause.
I think I found my very first old-fashioned typewriter at this place. There are treasures to be found throughout the aisles of this store, from clothing to books and furniture galore. The staff was friendly and everything was well organized. Add to all that the fact that the proceeds support a worthy cause and I have a justified reason to make a Mecca-like trek there regularly to feed my shopaholic habits. YES!

Sassy thrift store chain is a fixture in L.A.'s fight against AIDS..
In Short
This L.A. institution on the thrift shop circuit benefits the AIDS Healthcare Foundation. Inside, expect a haphazard smattering of furniture, clothing and housewares, some of which is a solid step up from Goodwill and Salvation Army inventories. A hodgepodge of folks patronize the place, from college kids looking for first apartment furnishings to seasoned bargain hunters. The staff is approachable and strives to be helpful.
