good authentic mexican food, great a fun place, great margaritas, great service, really nice staff, definitely pretty tasty yucatan taco, authentic mexican restaurant
great service and delish margaritas. The service here is always friendly. I recommend the avocado tostada ask them to make it with romain lettuce with their salsa verde on the side for dressing. It's really good!
Yum yum Yum. This place is sooooo good. all of their dishes are huge and delicious. They have a great drink menu and the service is promt. One of my favorites in Pasadena. Try the Chile Colorado.
Good Brunch. I enjoyed brunch here for a great price. Parking was ample, people were friendly and food was good. If you're in the area, stop by...
Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors. Full-bar Mexican restaurant known for its margaritas and homey atmosphere, off the beaten Pasadena path. Catering, private parties, happy hour.
User review by jotcmystic. This place has been around for over 20 yrs. It was wonderful when it first opened, but now the food is bland and expensive.
Great for a quiet dinner. My husband and I have been visiting Margarita's for three years now. We probably don't go as often as he'd like, but we always enjoy our meals there. Recently, I tried the carne asada steak with shrimp and it was just delicious. Definitely better than Mijares in Pasadena which we love, as well. If you go early enough, it's a great place for a quiet romantic dinner. When the dinner crowd starts piling in, it can get pretty busy and loud, but that's fun too. The Works burrito is huge, and fills up even my husband who has a big appetite. Totally recommend Margarita's to everyone.
Not much to say. I was pretty unimpressed...even went back a few times just to make sure it wasn't just an off night or two. Prices are a little high and the food was just ok, nothing to rave about. Stick with the beer...the margaritas were a little weak.
Solid, not great.
Margarita's is a "solid" local Mexican eatery, but not "great," unfortunately. I've had great Mexican from smaller mom&pop restaurants, and Margarita's doesn't compare.
It's more of a slightly more authentic El Torito or Acapulco. Friendly atmosphere, crowded, but the food was a bit expensive for the what you normally expect:
1 (ONE) Yucatan Taco was $4.00! Entrees were in the $12-20 range. But the Yucatan Taco was definitely pretty tasty and recommended.
The burritos were average, solid fare, but again, nothing special. And they did NOT give any refills on the Horchata! Huh?? That's like a standard at most authentic places (drink as much as you want), like Ice Tea.
It's reliable, but a bit pricey.
Great service! Great food!. This is a wonderfully authentic Mexican restaurant! It is filled with wonderful fixtures and the service is great. The food is also genuinely Mexican. Treat yourself to a great experience....The Margaritas are great also!
Tops in Pasadena. This unassuming restaurant on Rosemead dishes out tasty Mexican fare. Great margaritas, comfortable atmosphere and the best fajita burrito Ive eaten in L.A.
