Awesome food! Small, quaint family atomosphere with tastey dishes..
Yum, Yum! The food is extremely fresh and VERY flavorful. Service is good, too, and the environment is very family-orientated. I would recommend this place to anyone who appreciates good, homemade mexican cuisine. Credit cards are also accepted.

Cheap, good.
I'm not from LA but Chiquita was exactly what I was looking for when I needed a quick bite. Large, cheap burritos (4-6$) and a nice homey environ. I was only a tad disappointed that the veggies in the "vegetable burrito" only consisted of onions and iceberg but hey it was still tasty. Check it out for a low key lunch.
Oh and the menu is sparse, burritos and tacos only.

so so....
Chiquita Bonita is a decent place to grab a bite and a beer. The chips and salsa are fresh, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere goes a long way towards making the place feel like home.
On the other hand, I had the king burrito with chicken, and I have to say it isn't much to write home about. Not bad, just not exceptional. I will need to make further visits to confirm my first impresssions, but was surprised at the rave reviews I saw here.

down home flavor, down home service.
eating at chiquita is like eating at your friend's house when his mom cooks. the down home, authentic mexican fare won't disappoint even the most jaded So-Cal mexican food connoisseur. chiquita won't win any culinary awards, but you'll still be satisfied with your delicious meal and massive portion. the price can't be beat. roughly $4 - $7 for a whole lot of food. the king combo chicken burrito is my favorite. ask for tapatio, get some horchata, and eat.

Keep it real.
It's like coming home. The family that runs the joint is amazing. You feel the love the minute you walk in, but it does not stop there. They put that same energy into the food. The carne asada has flavor and is grill to perfection. The salsa is made fresh and not store bought. The rice and beans taste like home. Don't miss this true gem which I consider on the best mexican joints in Pasadena.
