great dive bar, recommend place, great bartenders, great tommy, busy somepatrons, gross floors, great prices
Great prices for drinks. This is a fun place and it has cheap drinks, staff are cool. Top shelf booze and pool tables also! It can get busy on the weekend and somepatrons are weird.
Bad Security Ladies Don't go here.
I used to go to this bar with my friends all the time when Tommy was the bouncer. The bar was great back then and Tommy was great.
I think Nelson and Johnny own the bar and they usually do a pretty good job of keeping creeps out.
Since they hired the new security guard, Tony, things have gone to
I had a horny old man tried super hard to flirt with me and then grab my butt, so of course I told the security guard, Tony. He said, "well he's just an old man". He didn't kick him out or anything.
I will never spend my money at this bar again. Ladies I wouldn't recomend you go here.
creepy guys..... i agree! ive only been there once...i will NEVER go again....its was kind of dirty.. i know its a dive bar....but there were alot of creepy gezzers there who acted like they have never seen a girl before..i just felt really uncomfortable there...i would never go back....go to the vault across the street!
Beyond Old Town's sparkle, this cheap and dark dive bar attracts college students, veterans and artists..
In Short
It's perpetually night behind the blacked-out windows and heavy wooden doors of this timeless neighborhood dive, Patrons rave about the potent cocktails--especially the spicy bloody marys made with airplane-sized cans of tomato juice. Two pool tables, a dart board and five TVs keep folks occupied in between drinks; what really catches the eye, though, is a bright yellow emergency phone labeled "City Cab," which hasn't worked in years.
A Good Dive Bar. The Colorado is one of the few places left were you can sit, have a good drink which is inexpensive. The place have very dim lighting which is different from alot of places, not to mention the fact that smoking is definetely allowed. They dont believe in ash trays so getting all dressed up is not recommended nor required. It does have a younger type of crowd but you'll have plenty of fun, whether it be drinking, playing darts or playing pool. The crowd is very diverse and the bartenders are great. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a change and not be disappointed.
Ciggs & Pops!. After work one day, I met a few coworkers here for drinks. Yes! Those drinks are inexspensive. So, if you don't mind the old folks and ciggarette smoke, then this could be the place for you. When you're there, play a few songs on the jukebox and ask the bar tender for some of his homemade hot pickles.
Cool, the world's smallest men's room!. But, really, this is what a bar should be about. Nice 'n dark, good pours on the liqour and beer. Oh, and what about those cute bartenders (I mean the old guys!) - Bukowski would be proud.
Perverts R Us!. The first time I ever went into the Colorado one of the bartenders spouted the most perverted, obnoxious joke at me and everyone around me broke out in laughter. It wasn't even a very good joke but because its x-rated everyone felt they had to react with an uproar. Its a small bar with 2 pool tables that are constantly in use. If you can avoid the crude jokes by just about all of the bartenders the drinks are pretty good and reasonably priced. The jukebox is not as good as everyone likes to think. But, then again, I'm not a hairband fan.
Yay Old Town!. This is by far my favorite hangout in Old Town... I have lived in Pasadena for about 5 years and this is the best place to go!
