wonderful italian food, awful service, favorite dinning place, worst food, good meal, absolutely delicious pasta dish, always amazing specials
Did not meet our expectation!.
The place looks nice and romantic. However the person who greeted us was unwelcoming and although the restaurant was almost empty he offered us the table that was in the center of the room.
Waitress was mechanical. Focaccia served was rubbery, so if you go there with a date you will be embarrassed trying to cut a piece off and of course chewing the thing. Olive oil will not make it soft in a million years.
Salads accompany the main course. The dressing is store bought. Also the sauce for the steak was terrible. Seemed like a mushroom soup out of a can.
Overall this was a major disappointment with a big price tag. $150.00 for three people. And we only had water!!!!! to drink.
If you go only stick to the desserts, otherwise don't bother. There are many restaurants in Glendale nowadays. Less expensive, more welcoming and with much better food.
Great food and very romantic. If you are looking for a romantic dinner, this is it. Not a happening, noisy place. Great Northern Italian food.
GREAT. I don't know what most of the people below are talking about! This place is delicious and well worth the money spent! The enviroment is homey and great! My family spends Christmas eve here and we have never been dissapointed!
The Worst. I agree with the other bad reviews. My husband and I went here and the food is awful and overpriced. The wait sfaff from the busboys to the servers are indiffrent. We did not hear one "thank you" from anyone during our meal. Please don't waste your time here.
awsome food, the best service. Reading the few bad reviews, Im wondering if these people ate at the same place I did. Recommended by a friend my wife and I decided to check it out. Everything was amazing. Service, food, and just overall feel of a noncorporate restaurant. The burrata caprese, Capilli di angle di frutti di mare, and warm apple tart completed the best meal I have had in years.
Worst Service Ever and Overpriced food.
I NEVER write reviews but I'm am so upset I thought I'd write one. The first time I went here, I should have learned not to come back when I found a long hair in my appetizer.
The food is decent, but for the price, the terrible service and the pompous attitude of the host/owner, I'd say no to this one. Go to Pasadena instead to Mi Piace or somewhere else.
I would expect more for Beverly Hills food prices located in Glendale.
best bar in town. love this place. great cocktails and great bartenders frankie and ivan. they have plenty of their own signature drinks to choose from and great attitudes on top of it. the place has a nice interior with tons of pictures of glendale from the old school. after you catch a buzz and go on the history tour, throw a couple of bucks in the jukebox and rock out to the killer selection.
Family-friendly destination for old-school Italian pastas served in large portions..
In Short
Renoir replicas hang on the sponge-painted, ochre walls, candles flicker on every table, and the kitchen dishes out a solid rendition of classic Italian comfort food. Meals begin with complimentary rosemary focaccia, slathered in olive oil and garlic. Pastas are served with a familiar variety of marinara and meat sauces. Service is a group effort: Glasses rarely reach the half-empty mark before they're refilled.
A favorite since it opened.... When I lived in Glendale until '92, I used to eat here at least once a week. In the more than 10 years since then, I've made it a point to eat visit whenever I'm in the Los Angeles area. Lucky me; I've moved back to LA and now I can again come here often. I love this place! The food is always delicious and the mood is always warm and welcoming. The salad and the flat bread they serve with every meal is addictive. The specials are consistently delicious as are the regular menu items. I'm sorry to see the few really bad reviews that I've read here. In all the years I've eaten at this lovely place, I've never had a bad experience. I've brought many friends here over the years and I've even hosted a couple of birthday dinner parties. I usually order their salmon special or their angel hair pasta with tomato basil sauce but I always taste what my friends order and it's always delicious.
Wasting your time. I went there for the first time, and in the middle of the conversation, and waiting for our food that take too long, there was a c.o.c.k.r.o.a.c.h. sneaking in my fiancee's arm. Unbelievable!
