WHAT AN AUTOMOTIVE EXPERIENCE

Took my car in for a brake inspection. The dealer tried selling me approx 2k worth of needed brake repairs. I took it to the Midas in Glendale which I've used before for some shocks and struts on my wife's car. They have this amazing life time warranty deal going on which saves us a lot of money because we put high miles on our cars. The manager there, Yuri, was extremely helpful and friendly. His entire staff and all the mechanics were nice and very professional and welcoming. They all seem to be certified and knowledgeable on auto repair. THEY ENDED UP FIXING AND RE DOING MY ENTIRE BRAKE SYSTEM FOR 500 DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT A SAVINGS!!!!! :)))))) will def return and stop going to the dealer...

almost ripped off!!!!!

I was just in there to get my car checked out with the understanding it was going to be a free $150 diagnostic check, the car was in there all day and the first impression everybody seemed to be courteous and really nice, however when it came to getting my car back there was a problem and knowing my girfriend had to be at work they would not release my car until they got paid which they did...the estimate I got was way over priced...I did some comparisons after the fact and I got some way lower estimates...bottom line Yuri could see the puzzled look on my face knowing I knew nothing about cars and it looked like a perfect chance for a great rip off!!!! so on that note I would not be taking my vehicle to midas ever again or recommend them to anyone...you got your 50 midas...50 slaps...

• Pros: I was able to get my car back
• Cons: ripped off on diagnostic for transmission,bad attitudes.

Ripped off??

This is my first review ever. I recently got my alternator replaced and had an oil change. Yuri was nice, but I'm not sure that they gave me an honest price. It cost $535 for the alternator. After I paid, I did some research and found that the average cost for such a repair is around $200 - $400. I really think I got ripped off. Yuri could tell that I don't know anything about cars and took advantage. He told me that he took off the tax for me, but why would he do that? Because he knows that he's already getting plenty of extra money from me and taking off the tax sounds like he helping me out. I also noticed that almost all of the good reviews written here are most likely written by this Midas shop. Notice how each reviewer has only written one review (I will be writing more in the future). Most reviewers tend to write more than one. I will give 2 stars because they finished ripping me off in one day, so I was able to drive to work the next Monday. Keep in mind that this review is speculative.
