Supermarket chain offers patrons well-stocked shelves of groceries and household products.. In Short
Ralphs Grocery Co. was founded in 1873 by George Albert Ralphs. Since then the chain has expanded throughout Southern California and in 1999 was acquired by the Ohio-based grocery giant Kroger Co. Ralphs offers a wide variety of items, ranging from fruits, vegetables and meats to dairy, fresh-baked goods, housewares, beer and wine, books, magazines and flowers. Most locations also have a pharmacy and photo lab.

Much improved. In all the years that this grocery store has been on the corner of Colorado and Verdugo, I have only recently begun shopping here. Before the renovation, I only visited this store if no other store around had what I needed. This Ralphs location had narrow aisles and always seemed overcrowded and dirty. After the renovation, it's much cleaner, the aisles are a little wider. I definitely shop here more often now, and don't purposefully avoid the store anymore. Of course, I will normally shop at the stores closer to my home in Eagle Rock.
