Their ground beef kabob with their basmati rice goes so perfectly. The grilled pepper also has a kick and compliments the rest of the dish. I get the sliced onions and mix it with the rice for the perfect bite.

Best place for Persian food. I love the luleh kabob and salad shirazi. Large plates, great price. I love everything about Raffi's. Dine in or take-out.

Everything here is amaze. Their hummus is delicious, as is their tzatziki sauce. Yum. I always go with their lam kabob, but really all of them are great. Oh and the rice! Love.

Great kabobs! They even have the yogurt sauce which is hard to find at most restaurants for this nature. The portions are gigantic. Enough to share between two people. They even have a take out window so you can call ahead and take it to go.

Absolutely amazing Persian/Mediterranean food. Get the Chicken Soltani, and you'll have enough food for *three* meals (I'm not kidding - I get this as take-out frequently, and it always lasts for at least three meals). Very generous portions.

Fantastic, fresh ingredients - the chicken is so tender and moist, the rice is awesome and the hummus is spectacular (it's as good as my home made version - which is saying something). Nice environment, very open air (heating lamps are everywhere). I can't recommend it enough.

This place is by far my favorite place to go when I'm in the mood to eat great KABOB. A must have when your in the mood for REAL kabob and authentic sides. Not only am I impressed by the food, there staff is amazing. ry the appetizers -- they're amazing!

The chicken kabobs with the grilled vegetables are the best in town.

Terrible service and no longer the best Persian food. – I hadn't been at this place for a long time and now I know why. They have since expanded the seating area, but have kept the kitchen the same size and it became painfully clear to us that they had screwed up.

We had to wait 20 minutes to order drinks while the wait staff ran around looking like headless chickens. Then we ordered and the food took forever to arrive. After 30 minutes I told the waiter that we've been waiting half an hour and that my young kid was very hungry. As if to not trust my word, he said, "let me check when you've ordered you're food". He looked at the POS and sure enough it was 30 minutes. He then offered the following excuse: "well everyone is waiting a long time"! My response: "not my problem, what's holding up the food? Can you ask the owner to come by". His response: "the owners have told them to say 'everyone has to wait' and they don't care of you're not happy". He then scurried back to the kitchen and came back 5 minutes later promising the food would be there in 3 minutes. Well it showed up 10 minutes later. After 45 minutes of waiting, the plates of food were thrown in front of us causing chunks of meat and rice to fly into the air.

Needless to say this place has developed a reputation which may have been justified a long time years ago, but now that they have struck it big and seem invincible they have turned into snobs who think they can get away with mediocre service and average food as long as people buy into the hype and don't know any better. I for one know of many other places around town that have the same if not better food with excellent service.

And to add insult to injury, one of us almost got run over from behind by the overzealous valet they have hired. When we yelled him to stop, his response without an apology was: "Why don't you look where you're going!" Hmm. if only I had an extra pair of eyes in the back of my head...

Bottom-line, this place needs an attitude adjustment and it begins with people waking up and smelling other better kabob places around town!

The Best Persian Food – Ok, I read some of the reviews and yes, the decor could be improved upon. But they have nice outdoor seating, which is great during the summer. So, aside from the decor, this restaurant is fantastic. It's got great tasting food. Like all restaurants, they give way too much food. Seriously, I don't need to have food for three people to think it's worthwhile. But the food tastes fantastic. I've had persian friends who regard Raffi's the best. I've been to a number of different Kabob places, and I have to agree. It's definitely worth trying and I would highly suggest driving a distance to give it a go.

Great food but a bit pricey... – I used to come to Raffi's and get their chicken kebob when I worked in the area a couple of years ago. Service isn't as friendly if you don't speak the language, but the chicken was always amazing. I can't say much for the other dishes since I always ordered the chicken. The outside patio seating is a huge plus and great escape from the office.

Don't get the Shirazi Salad – The appetizers are way too expensive. The Shirazi salad is not even flavorful with rough parsley in it. The portions of the meat are big, but it is too expensive. It is double the price of other places. On the weekends the food is better. If you order to go, you don't get as good or as much. Parking is horrible. The chairs and utensils need to go!

Typical Arrogance – Like most "authentic" restaurants, this one was good several years ago when it was new and trying to impress. It didn't take long for this restaurant to rest on its laurels and forget about its partons. The quality of meat - the main dish at a Persian restaurant - has diminished and is now dry and rubbery without much flavor. But most important, that feeling of being welcomed by a host - a key ingredient in Persian culture as well as independent restaurant culture - has been replaced by a busy and careless arrogance. They don't care if you loved the food or not. They don't care about telling you that they don't take reservations but then save large tables for special guests while you sit and wait for thirty minutes. They don't care if their careless Valet staff dings up your car and then says "Prove to me that it wasn't like that when you got here." They just don't care. There are still independently run restaurants in LA where the owners care about their customers' comfort and satisfaction. Raffi's is no longer one of those places.

Delicious Food – Well for starters this is my first review to post.

In my opinion Raffis Place has the best BBQ yummy tasteful, and you always want to go back for more although it does fill you up. My favorite is the Boneless chicken barg and there eggplant dip.

Love the environment its very nice to go somewhere that reminds you of back home the middle east.

Also the whole crew there is super friendly.

And who knows you might run into a long lost friend at Raffis has happened to me plenty of times.

Try it you wont regret it...
