Great Chinese Food. Have been a regular at Magic Wok for years, don't let the down home simple appearance inside fool you, the special lunches are quite good, but the special dishes, from appetizers to main dishes are what sets it apart. You can skip going to China Town or out to Alhambra. The sweet and pungent shrimp is superb. If you like potstickers their large northern style ones are pan fried to perfection. Crab rangoons are a favorite and don't forget the noodle dishes, including Hong Kong style (not on the menu).

chinese style BBQ beef..
Although, L.A. is sorely lacking in the chinese food department, this place is the best.
I highly recomend the chinese style BBQ beef.

Gotta know what to order here..
This is by far one of the best Chinese restaurants I've ever eaten at. Being a driver for 10 years all over Southern California and having eaten at HUNDREDS of Chinese restaurants, this place is a gem.
Rule number one, don't order conventional "Americanized" Chinese food. Sweet and Sour this or Chow Mien that. No, no, no...Try to stick to the Chef's Specialties page on the menu. Jade Palace Chicken, Lemon Chicken, Hunan Beef, Orange Beef and by all means the Cashew Nut Shrimp!!!!
The only bad thing I ever had was the duck, but no place is perfect.
I'd drive 20+ miles to eat here any day.
