Legendary service, shoes to die for and fashion-forward merchandise keep shoppers returning..
Founded as a Seattle shoe store in 1901, this popular chain is now known for manageably priced designer duds. Shoppers find a hint of sophistication in the store's white floors and pianists on baby grands. Unique departments include the Brass Plum juniors' section with Ruby Rox and Diesel, and Studio 121 for career-savvy women. A business-centric men's clothing department offers Ben Sherman suits, while relaxed styles from Marc Jacobs and Lacoste are in The Rail department.
A Nordstrom is a Nordstrom. When Nordstrom first came to the Glendale area, it was a new "elite" shopping experience. These days giant department store shopping isn't really all that chic...not that I'm chic. As more and more designers set up their own shops in malls and in destination shopping areas around town, stores like Nordstrom have become old hat. As someone who has hard-to-fit feet, Nordstrom has always been a shopping staple for shoes. They often have shoes in larger widths...and after shopping here for years, it's nice to recognized as a regular customer and treated a little "special".
