Great Restaurant.
I have lived in La Crescenta for 18 years and can't remember this place not being there. Great for lunches and large groups. Usually get the Lamb Kebab with vegetables which is fantastic. Everything else I have tried is good too.

Great food, good prices.
One of my favorite restaurants in La Crescenta, the Olive Branch has a nice menu with plenty of selection. My favorite is the Soltani, with a Hummus appetizer. I've tried both the beef and chicken and have been very pleased with both. Quantities are large, and even the deserts are very good (if you have any room left after you meal.) Definitely worth the drive, no matter where you're coming from.

Best Persian Home cooking!.
If there is one Persian restaurant in Los Angeles that represents authentic Iranian home cooking, it's got to be the Olive Branch! Yes, it's got the usual standard kabobs..but then come the delicious stews, ghorm e sabzi, fesenjoon, homemade torshi, (pickled veggies,) great desserts like sholeh zard, mmm...all served in a very cutesy atmosphere by charming waitstaff. It's worth the trek to La Cresecenta, considering next stop for this kind of food would be Iran or your cranky mother-in-law..and maybe not even then ;-)
