really like theme, really hated grill, really like atmosphere
A neon-lit trip back to the Eisenhower era comes with burgers, shakes and fries..
In Short
Vintage Coca-Cola ads and posters of Life magazine covers succinctly summon up the 1950s, as do this diner's mini-jukeboxes, red vinyl counter stools and sock-hopping staff. Besides fast food staples like hot dogs, cheeseburgers, tuna melts and onion rings, options like the Streamliner (a grilled veggie patty) acknowledge more modern dietary concerns. Even better for kids, sandwiches come wrapped in paper jackets and nearly everything is served on paper plates. No spills. No breaks. No tears.
Good atmosphere. I used to grab a bite here before a movie because it's right across from the theatre. I really like the atmosphere and the 50's theme. The food is ok. I really hated the grill on the burgers and the fries are a little bland for my taste. However, the shakes, ooh the shakes! They are great and you get two cup full of whatever shake you choose, one with whipped cream and a cherry and one in a metal diner cup.
