Very good. very good company. scheduling was a little confusing but they did a great job and their prices were reasonable.
THIS COMPANY'S BEEN AROUND FOR AS LONG AS I CAN REMEMBER, RICK'S GOT MORE EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE THAN ANYONE ELSE IN THE BUSINESS.. I'm a property manager and I called Rick's Gate Works for the first time back in 1979. I've gotten to know Rick(the owner) quite well over the years. It is always a pleasure doing business with him. He knows the ins and outs of this business better than anyone else I've dealt with. not only that, but he has never been anything but fair and loyal to me and my other managers. I've gone into their shop on several occasions to pick up remotes, and the staff has always been polite, curtious amd helpful. I know a few people who tried working with other gate companies before I told them about Rick's, and they wouldn't dream of giving those companies another shot. I even found out recently that Rick's is where a lot of these other company owners started out, he taught them everything they know. All i have to say is that Rick's has handled everything for me since the beginning and i have always been a satisfied customer.
Best experience I have had with a gate company. They were great. I called in for service. It was not an emergency so the call was scheduled for the next day. I was told the tech would call me before he arrived. I also called in the morning to get an eta. I was told between 11-1 he was there at 11:30. He called me on my cell phone 30 minutes before he arrived. I was able to meet him and he repaired the gate. He was a very knowledgeable technician. I got to talking to him and he said the he had worked for the company 20 years. He seemed like a great guy.
Great customer service, and very experienced technicians. I read the previous review that said this was the worst company ever. This review was written a few years ago. They must be under new management. The technicians do have cell phones. I actually needed service right away, because my gate was stuck closed. The girl I spoke with was very polite and dispatched a technician to my house the same day. He was actually there within the hour. He called me from his cell to let me know he was on his way. He was very professional and a very experienced tech it seemed to me. He knew what the problem was as soon as he arrived and repaired the gate. I have not had any problems with my gate since.
AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS. They are the worst company i have delt with in a long time. I have only called them 2 times and both were a disaster!!!!. They never showed. I had to keep calling and each girl that answered the phone gave me some lame excuse of why he didn't show up or just said I don't know anything about it someone will call you back (but they never do). The tech's don't have cell phone's and the office closes at 5pm. So if your appt time is after 5pm and the tech doesn't show you only have an answering machine to talk to. They are not big on the custmer service side of things like follow up or just apologizing for the tech not showing. If you don't have alot of time to WASTE do call them. I promise you 1 headache after another with them. The website looks professional but unfortunately that's NOT the way they treat their customers.
