view & uploadgreat mexican food, great authentic place, good customer service, great drinks, great margaritas, mediocre experience, rude staff
Los Toros Mexican Restaurant has been serving up authentic Mexican Food since 1967. Los Toros provides a fun, family atmosphere. Located in Chatsworth, Los Toros is great for all occasions, whether it's a family night out, birthday party or a first date. Try one of the delicious Mexican delicacies. Their menu incluides entress such as camarones al mojo de ajo (sauteed jumbo shrimp battered in a garlic cheese sauce, accompanied with Mexican rice and a small salad with fresh tomato), carnitas ala michoacan (lightly fried string pork served with rice and beans, garnished with sour cream, pico de gallo and guacamole) and pescado asada (A thick halibut steak charbroiled and served with mixed veggies al estilo mojo de ajo, rice, beans and a side of cilantro sauce). …
It's so loud! Came here for dinner.
It's nice that they text us when the table is ready. But...
Don't know where to start. We were seated pretty fast (we were told the waiting time was 20-40 mins). 15mins later, I got the text. So we were seated, our waiter came fairly quickly. We ordered our foods and ice waters.
The table right next to us got their waters (and they arrived the same time as us and were seated the same time as well). Us? No ice waters. We waited, waited, and waited... nothing. I had to ask for waters - again.
So the table right next to us got their foods (and they ordered after us). 15-20 mins later.. no foods for us. I asked our waiter about our foods. He went to the kitchen and came back. He said our foods were almost done.
So minutes later, our foods finally arrived. I took my first bite and oh my.. it was extremely salty! My husband's food was better (still salty but not extremely salty - so still edible). my friend's food was acceptable as well.
Asked the waiter to return my plate, he offered for a replacement, but I just don't want to wait for another 20-30mins for my replacement. The presentation looks good, but the taste is just not right.
i love this place great place to have a drink and meet people i cant complaint one bit like these other people that dont like it but keep going back
What happened here?????. I'm all for second chances but for the fourth time in a row awful, awful, awful service. Had to look for someone to take our order, forget on anyone checking in on how 'we were doing', and then the bill was overcharged by $25.00. It wasn't even busy! I keep going back because yes, the margaritas are excellent and the food is pretty good, but the other places are looking much better these days.
Great Margaritas.
Besides a long wait-Great margaritas and ambiance
You have to try the flan
Favorite Weekly Spot. I love this place! From happy hour to just having lunch or dinner. This is the first restaurant I visited on my first night in town and I have been coming back ever since! The margarita's are the best I have ever had and the food is ridiculous! There is also a bar area that is amazing for watching games or just kicking back after a long day.
my - go to place.
I have been going into LT for about 20 years, on the weekends I have to wait, like everybody else. So what, I came for the great food, usually the service is prompt. I can live with i t on a weekend. Faster during the week but the quality of food and drink is always to my liking.
My congrats to Nick&Lucia&Alex& all the staff for making me feel welcome & wanting to return, over &over & over again. I think it 's the best place of its kind in Southern California.....
Bad Food Bad Service. food was horrible, service was soooo slow. dark and gringy
Los Toros - gotta love it. We've been regulars at Los Toros for over 20 years - seen a lot of changes, but we still love it. The place has definitely grown, and is often crowded, but Nick and Lucia have done an excellent job of managing that. The carnitas is still the best around (I make a point of comparing it at every Mexican joint I go to), the bean dip is unrivaled, and the atmosphere is simply the best (how many restaurants in LA can you actually get lost in?). When I have guests in from out of town, the first place they want to go is Los Toros. It's like a mini-trip to Mexico. How many corporate-owned chains are like that?
Not for the Faint of Heart!. Good food and drink in a rollicking restaurant! This place is truly family friendly so bring the kids. And remember, LT is well loved by many patrons every night of the week, so tell everyone in your group to show up on time. Parking is a breeze with the complimentary valet. My finicky eater kids love to eat here - especially the Chile Colorado. Go once and you too will be hooked.
Great Mexican food!.
We've been going there for years and always enjoy the atmosphere and food. The most recent visit was exceptionally enjoyable since we took out-of-town friends and they fell in love with the place. Although I don't drink Margaritas, everyone else in our group raved about them. The food was out of this world and enjoyed by all.
This is a happy place that is relaxing and rewarding. I highly recommend it. Bravo, Los Toros!
