Very good Lamb

The reviews I found were mixed but since I could not find any other Pakistani restaurants in the SFV - I decided to give it a try. There is no longer a grocery store. Its a very plain restaurant - more like a large room with cheap folding chairs and tables in a not so nice strip mall in Chatsworth. I ordered the Chicken Tikka, Lamb Karahi and Naan. The lamb was excellent, the Chicken would have been v.good if it had been thoroughly cooked! I had to nuke it when I brought it home. I had also wanted the Eggplant dish but it says seasonal on the menu which I thought was strange. Also I called in the order around 7pm and I heard the order taker asking someone if they could still accept orders which I also found rather strange. Overall - the food was good and I would order from Tawakal again as I find Pakistani food far superior to the many Indian restaurants in So Cal.

Great food

Eventhough the place does not look like a restaurant, but the food is very good. The owners main profession is catering, and that is why he is bringing food to the local Masjid every Friday, and the people love the Food. If you are going to have take out food, then order from his restaurant.

Expensive Place

The place smell likes a meat processing plant. The tables are dis-arranged. The food is insipid, but the service is good. This place is very expensive. A lunch would cost you average 20 bucks for that price you can four meals at any other place in Chatsworth. For a curry dish average price is $ 9.00 and a small bowl of Raita is $ 3.00 and a rice dish plain is almost $ 7.00. One star only and top of that they have A + B on their window.
