No One Touches My Hair - Except James

Okay, I may be dating myself here, but I have been trusting my difficult hair to James for about 25 years. He is incredibly talented. My hair is going grey, on top of being extremely fine and having lots of hair. My natural color is dark blonde so recently he gave me a partial weave that blended it all together and made it look completely natural.....James always seems to know what looks best for my face and complexion, and when I want to try a new look, he knows what I'm going for. He has never given me a bad cut or color in the years he's been doing my hair...he even did my hair for my wedding....well, last year I left the husband.....but kept the stylist...LOL

I have been going to Ankh for 3 years now and Been directly going to see Jennie. I have very curly and Blonde damaged hair and she has truley been a miracle worker. Going out of her way to research the best leave in conditoners for me, even helping me with my allergic reactions to hair dye going COMPLETLY out of her way to find a hair dye that would work for me. She has spend countless hours working one on one with me and always makes me feel beautiful when I walk out of the salon. The salon itself is so relaxing and an amazing place to relax and take time off to do something for yourself. The staff is very nice.

So a friend of mine recently got her hair done, and it was super blonde. I asked her where she got it done and she told me Ankh Studio in Encino. I decided to try it out. I have black hair and have gone to so many places to get a nice auburn color with some honey low-lights. Everywhere I had gone messed it up and my hair either didn't take the color or it came out red. Sivan was my stylist and she did such a beautiful weave that the low lights weren't big thick strands but blended with my hair. She had one of the most bubbly bright personalities and was extremely personable. I liked that everyone was so nice and the salon was really professional looking but still comfortable, not run down or ghetto or all snooty like in beverly hills. Prices were great, people were friendly. I love this place and I refer anyone, men or women, to come here because these girls will do EXACTLY what you want...or even suggest something if you wanna try something new.

My new salon for life!

The moment I walked into Ankh Studio, I was greeted by a blonde woman (forgot to get her name!) She looked to be in her mid 40s. She welcomed me in and asked who I was here to see. She walked me over to the chair of my stylist, Jennie, and offered me some coffee and muffins. She made my coffee the way I take it and was so courteous. Jennie also welcomed me and began doing my hair. I think my favorite part was the wash. It was like a massage for my head. It was so good! She knew exactly how I wanted my hair and finished just in time for me to go to work. I have never received so many compliments on my hair, ever! I love how convenient it is and how friendly everyone was (staff and customers!) This is my new salon, and I'm sticking to it. You should really check it out!

I was looking for a hairstylist in Encino since I had been shlepping to Beverly Hills for a c&c (color and cut.) I met James through one of those deals where you get a haircut,facial,massage and facelift (kidding) for $70. I didn't know James so I asked him to color my hair rather then cut it, and he obliged. Oh my g-d, the scalp massage was a treat from heaven, and then when blow drying my hair he treated each and every strand as if it was Marilyn Monroe's! Next time I went to Ankh Studio I trusted him to cut it, and he told me that if I kept coming to him and letting him trim it every six weeks, in a year or so it would be long and healthy. Fast forward two years and my hair is as long as when I had extensions and has so much shine people stop me to put their lipstick on in the reflection!
