The Valley's answer to the call for more delicious 24-hour Mexican spots..
In Short
If you thought Downtown L.A. had the market cornered on delicious 24-hour taquerias, think again. This little Mexican joint keeps the Valley in touch with a taste of farther-south samplings around the clock. The spot is well known to Valley-ites far and wide, and any one will tell you that the folks at Indio know their way around a tortilla. They're famous for their mouth-watering burritos, and their chile relleno will satisy even the most discerning Mexican tastebuds. Whether it be a daytime craving or a late-night, this no-frills joint is a fast Mex fix.
Good food for reasonable prices. I found El Indio by accident while living nearby. I was stumbling home amazingly loaded one night and stopped by for a midnight burrito. I got a Machaca burrito and carried it home where I wolfed it down, expressing "That was the greatest burrito I've ever eaten in my entire life". I had to go back again to be sure it was as good as I remembered and it was. Every time I get the Machaca burrito with cheese, guac, and meat, and if you're really hungry get a taco with the same thing. The food is quick to come and really good. There are a couple bench seats but nothing fancy or extravegant. The only time I've been unimpressed with the food is when it hasn't been "juicy" enough, which has only happened once or twice in my record of going there.
