view & uploadauthentic homemade greek food, great firehouse, worst meals, great greek restaurants, fresh pita, still recommend place, great authentic greek food
Great gyros. We only recently discovered this place, but we've ordered from here a handful of times. It's always good! I get the gyro sandwich, and the meat is delicious and the pita is fresh. I appreciate that they don't put hummus on it, and instead they give us a container of tzaziki to add to taste. Overall, the food is yummy and I think it's really well priced. :)
Great place to eat.. The firehouse is great for anyone who likes Greek. I live next to the owner of the firehouse too.

Just terrible.. I tried this restaurant based on the prior reviews and on my neverending search for decent Greek food in Los Angeles. It turned out to be one of the worst meals I have ever had. It was just bad food, Greek or not. I had the vegetarian plate which was barely edible. The hummus tasted like liquid salt, the eggplant was way overly smokey, and the falafel were hardened clumps of salt and seasoning. The green side salad was wilted and black. The only decent items were the rice pilaf and spinach pie, which are pretty hard to mess up. I lived with a Greek roommate for years and have been exposed to excellent homemade Greek food as werll as great Greek restaurants (not in LA). The Firehouse is not woth visiting. Skip it!
Yummy!!. Great authentic Greek food and it's homemade. Given positive reviews by Larry Lipson of the Daily News and AAA's Westways magazine. The Firehouse is a perfect choice for a casual meal. Oompa!
Mom and Pop. It may be hard to figure: three "averages" and I still recommend this place. Hey, the food is good, and not nearly as expensive as many Greek restaurants. Sure, you order at the counter, pay, grab a booth and shag your own food, but for those nights you want to keep it simple and just eat - well, this is where I often go.
