In Short
The first Super 8 opened in Aberdeen, S.D., in 1974, charging $8.88 a night. Today, the national franchise, with its familiar red-and-yellow sign, still stands for dependable rooms at wallet-friendly prices. A staple for road-tripping families, truck drivers and tour groups, the motel offers complimentary morning coffee and continental breakfasts. Another perk for travelers: Super 8 travel cups may be refilled for free at any of the motel's locations.
Worn out facility. This motel needs renovation and cleaning badly; i.e., rugs are stained and dirty, walls are caked with wall paper patches, room smells and cigarette smoke comes through the vents, showerhead didn't work, the wash basin faucet handles were dirty. All the old dirty furniture needs to be replaced. The bed box spring mattress needs replacing - couldn't sleep all night. You could barely move around in the room because it was so small. The free breakfast consists only of a sweet roll and coffee to take to your room. I informed the Super 8 management 4 weeks ago and they still haven't appologized for this less than super 8 motel. I will not return to the Super 8 Motel Santa Clarita and I would recommend to friends to avoid staying here.
Very nice staff. Room was basic, comfortable. TV not in the best working condition. Had a bar with a refrigerator in it! Simple breakfast served as you exit. A small pool and hot tub were very comfortable. Quiet hotel. We enjoyed our stay.
