Bad experience at the drive thru car wash. I had not been to this car wash in awhile, since moving across town, but was in the area so decided my car needed an outside wash and since I had my 9 month old grandson with me, would be easier to use the drive-thru. All was going well until I was ready to pull out, when the guy who had just wiped down my car, knocked on my window. I rolled down my window to see what he wanted. He did not speak very good English but after a couple of times of saying, "what?", it seemed to me that he was trying to tell me that my right front tire was low... and that he would check for me for a fee. I told him no that I would take care of later and left. I then went to a restaurant for lunch, checked my tire which was perfectly fine, so thought no more about it. However, upon returning to my car, the front right tire was completely flat. I called AAA who came out and pumped it back up, so was able to get me and my grandson back home. The next day, I took my car to my mechanic who checked the tire for leaks but found nothing. He told me that the only way that it could have gone flat was that someone had to stick a pin into the valve stem which would then start letting the air out. That was a couple of weeks ago, and the tire is completely fine, has not lost a drop of air.

It is now apparent that the guy who wiped down my car at this car wash purposely did something to let the air out of my tire when he was in that area down low hoping to make money off me.

Not only was it a real inconvenience for me, but also having my 9 mo. old grandson with me having to wait for AAA. Also, very dangerous as well.

Needless to say, I will never be back to this car wash.

It's A Gas Station For Goodness' Sake. Yes, they sell gas and there's a drive-thru car wash. But it's desperation time if you go here. The equipment is frequently out of order and in disrepair. For what gas costs, you'd think they'd make it more inviting considering the competition. I have not infrequently stopped here and left without getting gas because the equipment is broken. So why do I bother? It's the closest station to my house and I'm lazy.

10/31/07 Update: the car wash finally blew up or someone wrecked it, but in any event, the old equipment was replaced. I haven't yet tried the new version. Gas pumps are still very slow.
