great little restaurant, very good muf, wonderful colors
Atmosphere rules at this French New Orleans-themed spot that serves traditional American fare..
In Short
Decorated like a French country bistro with jazzy New Orleans overtones, Mimi's Café was named after a lost love of Arthur Simms, who started the restaurant in 1978 in Anaheim, Calif., with his family. The ambience could only be upstaged by the menu filled with traditional American favorites. Breakfast includes omelets, waffles, muffins and fresh-squeezed juices, while lunch and dinner feature comfort-food classics like pot pie and pot roast, deli-style sandwiches, burgers, pastas, steaks and salads.
Awesome breakfasts!. I moved to Valencia from MI and recently had some visitors from my old home state. In an effort to eat breakfast somewhere unique to CA, we found Mimi's through City Search and decided to give it a try; we were happy we did! The interior decor reminded me something of an Italian bistro, with the different colors and artwork. The breakfast portions are huge and most breakfast options come standard with juice included in the price (!!!). I had the Huevos con Tortilla breakfast and it was outstanding; I couldn't eat everything they gave me! We arrived the Saturday morning before Mother's Day, around 10:00am, and the wait was only 40 minutes; not bad for a busy weekend morning. One friend also tried the Huevos con Tortilla, and the other ordered the Lorainne quishe breakfast. The whole breakfast for 3 only cost $37.00, which included a 20% tip. I would definitely revisit this location, and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great breakfast.
Blueberry Muffins are heavenly. The blueberry muffins are very, very good. Had a salad which was ok. The fried cod was good. The chicken pasta was fair, the chicken cordon bleu was good & portions were ample. Nice service.
love it. I have eaten here so many times that i am actually sick of it.When they first opened i must have eaten there once a week. At my work my boss would always bring us muffins and pancakes. The soup is really good and the service is great.
Most Unique Food in Santa Clarita.
Driving by Mimi's Cafe over and over, curiosity finally got the better
of me. I was amazed to find it had a New Orleans atmosphere and cuisine. Now, it's a regular stop for me. My favorites are, of course, anything with a Cajun flare -- blackened salmon anyone?
