A Taste of Westwood, in Downtown. Excellent service!. As far as Persian food goes, this place is up there. Great koobideh and barg (filet). Excellent service. Every time I've been the owner or manager has been there and has promptly greeted us and seated us. Compares if not exceeds some of the best places in Westwood.

If you're in downtown, and you want persian food, this is the place for you. It's casual, but during lunch time it's filled with professionals and the like. Parking isn't usually an issue, and great service all around.

Highly recommend by Kevin, who has been to every persian restaurant in LA county.

Without Comparison. Rarely do you find something that really exceeds your expectations - Shekarchi is just such a place - in a city filled with restaurants, this one stands above 99% of them. The service is excellent, the food is just the greatest, and the Shekarchi's make you feel welcome and at home. They are quick to give tastes of things you may not be familiar with and expand your knowledge of Persian delicacies. The entire experience is unbeatable. You feel like you are having dinner with old friends. I like trying new things and normally don't find anything too exceptional - this is just what it is cracked up to be and MORE. iT DOESN'T GET ANY BETTER!

Excellent Persian food with excellent customer service. This is an excellent restaurant - my favorite Persian restaurant (and this is coming from a Persian man). Their meat is always fresh and seasoned deliciously - the rice is cooked just right and even the side salad exceeds what you expect from a side salad. The service is always attentive, professional and courteous - and the ambience is clean, relaxed and welcoming.

I go here on a regular basis (I work downtown) and have gotten my company to cater from Shekarchi on a regular basis - because I know people of all stripes will like their food. I am very impressed.

The best Kabob's.. This place is out of this World.

The food is Amazing.

Alex takes care of every customer like they are his own Family (sometimes when Alex is not there things seem a little more rushed to me)

The portions are Large.

I have heard good things about the flavored Rice, I will have to try that soon.

I have had other Persian food and the quality and flavor is not consistant.

EVERY time I have been to Shekarchi the food has been AMAZING.

I wish there was a Shekarchi in every city I traveled to.

Great Kabobs Delivered to Bunker Hill!. Great Ground Beef Koobideh, Boneless Dark Meat Chicken Kabobs and Grilled White Fish Fillets with basmati rice and grilled tomato. Go for the two skewers with half rice & half salad and you have two meals! Be sure to add an order of yogurt, either the chopped shallot or chopped cucumber to go on the pita bread. Upgrade the Rice for $2 to Flavored Rice: orange peel (my favorite) or cherry or berry. Never been disappointed in the food or the delivery (our group gives that delivery man a good tip for biking up the killer hill to 1st Street from 9th Street - you couldn't pay us to walk it)!

Excellent Persian Cusine. The Food and Service are top-notch. Ali the son of the owner is always hands on with making sure you have a wonderful experience.

Great quality food!!!!. Shekarchi has great quality food along with large portion. There different kinds of favored rice like orange, cheery and cranberry just to name a few were sensational. Also the chicken kabobs is a must........If you go you won't be disapointed.

Juicy chicken and tasty rice. I often order my lunch from here. I usually get the chicken lunch special and sometimes splurge for some tahdig and koreshteh ghemeh. The prices are a little above average for downtown LA but the food is incredible. The chicken kabob is better than my mom's (sorry mom) and comes with rice, pita, and roasted vegetables. The delivery is usually on time. .The service is friendly and courteous. I highly recommend this downtown secret gem.

sweet, juicy, tart berries. I keep going back to this place for only one thing, the Berries (sort of a condiment). kabobs are kabobs and I've had similar else where. But what I never find else where is their rendition of Berries - sweet, juicy and tart, a perfect match for any kabobs. They're open only during lunch hours.
