HORRIBLE! UNPROFESSIONAL! UNFRIENDLY!
And just a VERY GLOOMY SHOP!
As I bride to be you have to approach the whole wedding experience with an open mind and positivity.
I was very excited to begin my wedding dress experience at Pebbles but what I got was a pebbels in my shoe!
The young lady that helped me was very young, maybe still in community college and not experienced enough to work as a bridal consultant.
Perhaps she would be more beneficial at a store like “Forever 21”. After describing to her what I was looking for and showed her pictures, she was just picking random dresses.
My friend, who was with me, actually found the type of dresses that I was looking for.
Long story short, I found the PERFECT dress but wanted to bring in my mom to show it to her before buying the dress.
I went in on a Thurs and told the girl I would bring my mom in on Monday to show her dress. The “consultant” advised that she would note the dress I liked as well as the other two dresses on a card and “HOLD IT”! Had I been offered to put a deposit down for the dress I would have done that. The following Monday when I took my mom to show her the dress the inexperienced “consultant” said “I have bad news for you…We sold the dress”, it felt like a really bad joke.
At this point I felt like a bucket of ice cold water was poured on me. I was soo stunned I couldn’t even say anything. My mom began telling her how unprofessional it was to sell the dress when they knew I wanted the dress and WHY they COULDN’T call to say someone was interested in the dress.
Writing this review is even more upsetting.
BOTTOM POINT, this place is a HORRIBLE family owned business and they can’t even smile and say “hello” when you walk in the door and as my mom mentioned it has a very negative energy when you walk in, it almost felt like a warehouse in Downtown LA not a warm bridal shop. Please save yourself some time and look at other options then resorting to this dump.
A Great Experience!. I had a really wonderful experience at Pebbles Bridal! The salesgirl that I was working with was super helpful, and I was able to find my wedding dress and all of my bridesmaids' dresses there. I was so happy with the customer service, selection, and prices at Pebbles Bridal, I highly recommend them to any bride!
The best bridal shop I've been to.. After being turned off by many bridal shops I went to Pebbles on the recommendation of a coworker. They do not take appointments so I went in on a Saturday with my mother and my sister. I wasn't impressed with the exterior of the shop at first but once I went inside it was a totally different story. They were very busy and allowed me to look through the racks on my own (something most bridal shops won't let you do) while I waited for my turn. The gowns are arranged by designer so I immediately went see the Pronovias gowns. My consultant helped me find the perfect silhouette for my body and even kept me under my budget of $3000. The family that owns Pebbles is also wonderful. I LOVED this store and will recommend it to all my family and friends.
Ugh.. The salespeople at Pebbles are incredibly rude. They called my friend "big girl" and other very rude remarks about her weight when they were fitting her for her bridesmaid's dress. At a place that sells based on being able to make women feel beautiful, this place fails. I would not recommend Pebbles to anyone.
Don't waste your time. I was thoroughly displeased with the lack of service. I drove fifty miles out of my way today to come to Pebbles and was hurriedly greeted by a man at the front who had no idea why I was there, even though I explained repeatedly that I just wanted to try on a few dresses. He then asked me if I had an appointment (As Monica said, they don't schedule appointments), told me to sign in, and eventually, after the third person asked me why I was there, I was told to just look around. I looked around for twenty-five minutes, now bringing me to 1:30, and still no one greeted me. Meanwhile, as I was looking, I could hear girls around me requesting dresses from designers that they carry, but none of the dresses they actually carried. The selection was, to say the least, less than "900". Other dresses I sorted through were ripped or worn-looking, and one even stained! I was appalled at the lack of quality, and moreso the lack of personal attention that the boutique so confidently speaks of on the website. I really expected this exciting day to be a trip to remember, but Pebbles just wasted my time. Don't waste yours!
amazing experience. I loved this bridal shop!! I was dreading shopping for my wedding dress but this place was great! I went in early on a Saturday and I was helped right away. She asked several questions in regards to my taste, type of dress I was looking for, where and when my wedding would be. She suggested different types of dresses according to my body type and when I tried the dresses on they looked amazing! I would have never thought of trying certain types of dresses but they really know what they're doing! I believe the shop is family owned so the associates don't work on commission so there's absolutely not pressure at all. My experience was fun and effortless. I purchased my dress same day and the prices are very reasonable for what you get! I recommend shopping here first!
Excellent Customer Service, Fabulous Selection. Pebbles is definitely the store with the most variety and decent prices. I've been to several bridal shops and most end up having hundreds of the exact same style of dress. Plus, the sales lady honestly seemed to care about how I'd look on my wedding day, more so than selling a dress. I'd definitely recommend Pebbles to anyone looking for a wedding dress. The customer service and selection is the best I've seen so far. We just walked in on a Saturday without an appointment and I was able to pick five dresses to try on immediately (most places only let you try on 3). They actually had a dress I liked that was at Marylinn's for half the cost. Marylinn's wanted 1200 for it and Pebbles was only charging 650, for the exact same dress! I've been looking everywhere for a dress with straps or a halter top which I was starting to think was impossible to find, but Pebbles actually had a nice selection. I found a gorgeous ivory halter top dress, the only halter I've been able to find! I was almost convinced it was the one until the sales lady (Susie), oh so helpful, asked what my bridesmaids were wearing. She pointed out that if my bridesmaids dresses were sky blue, in photos when they stood next me the colors would contrast and the blue would look green and the ivory would look yellow. She demonstrated by bringing over a sky blue bridesmaids dress and showed me how they would look together. She strongly recommended that I go with a white dress and showed me the difference. She was dead on! I appreciated how helpful she was. No other sales person ever asked us what my bridesmaids were wearing.
Good variety, not so great service... avoid on the weekends!!!.
The advantages of Pebbles Bridal are that they have a huge variety of bridesmaids dresses, a decent selection of bridal gowns which you can walk through yourself, and no appointments. The downside is that there are no appointments (which is a pain on the weekends) and when I was there it was impossible to get any help with bridesmaids dresses since everyone was helping brides. All the samples are a size 8, so you'll see girls who are a size 2 and girls who are a size 14 trying to squeeze into the same dress!!! The petticoats and bras/bustierres they have to try with dresses are cheap and look bad (even David's Bridal had nice ones to try if you don't bring your own).
The other thing that was a pain was that Pebbles has a policy that you can only take 3-4 dresses at a time, and can't look at gowns while you're wearing one. If you're trying on a lot of heavy gowns, this is a real pain because you have to change back to your clothes (or walk around in your petticoat!) every couple gowns. I had a friend with me who was picking out dresses so I could continue trying them on (since she knew exactly what I wanted), and one of their salespeople was rude to my friend and gave her a hard time for helping me out.
Overall, Pebbles would be a good place to go if you want to see a lot of dresses up close, but don't expect great service - it feels more like a shopping mall store than a bridal boutique.
Good Overall Experience. I went to Pebble's Bridal to initially look for a wedding dress. I didn't end up finding one there, but I did marvel at their bridesmaid dress selection. They have A TON of sample dresses! Plus, since I was ordering 5 dresses, their discount actually made the dress cheaper than I had found online! They are very friendly and overall I had a very positive experience.
Not such a great place after all. Horrible Customer Service and they are hard to get on the phone. They refuse to take responsiblity for problems.
