Delicious!

Mouth watering chicken! The chicken spread has been a staple of my diet since I was a little kid. They have a sandwich which is on the newer side called the "Fiery" Pastrami Sandwich, and it is AMAZING! Make sure you grab some extra napkins, and come in with an empty stomach if you're getting that one. If you haven't tried it before, get to it. If you have, you know what I'm talking about.

Chicken aside, have you had the homemade mexican food here?

Ok, I eat here at least 3 times a week. Usually have the 1/2 chicken and rice. The chicken is the best I have ever had! They have the coolest rotisserie which keeps it so moist and yummy. Today, I was asking the owner what to have as I am in the mood for something different. He tells me that they have been making Mexican specialties for the 28 years they have been open, so I decide to take a chance on a change.. He suggested the Chicks Chicken Quesadillas. Normally, I would steer clear of a tortilla with cheese and chicken in it, but when he told me these were not "taco bell" quesadillas, I put my trust in him, (after all, he did get me hooked on the best chicken ever!). Let me just say, that when the order came up, I was intrigued. He was right, did not look like the normal things I was used to. And the taste, well, lets just say fantastic, unlike any other that I have ever had. The perfect combination of chicken and cheese, slightly fried with a spicy verde salsa and an incredible cheese on top... WOW, it literally melted in my mouth. Im not sure what it is there, but everything I have eaten, most of the menu, I get addicted to.. Yes, the place is mainly a take out joint, but there is ample seating and the owners are really nice. Ive never had a problem there, and almost everyone gets greeted with a first or last name as they come through the door. They do do a HUGE holiday business, so if you do go there around that time, there will be boxes stacked in the back of the dining area, as they have a huge amount of catering going on. Very good place, family business (which we should all support!) and nice people, with some of the best food around. I am there all the time, ask me when you go...Ill buy you a soda.

• Pros: Best Chicken in town, hands down. GREAT homemade mexican specialties...
• Cons: cash only, just as well right..

Never again

My wife and I tried this place and what a mistake. First of all, when I ordered (from the owner) I tried to pay with my credit card and was abruptly told that they didn't accept credit cards. I said, "O.K., but we''ll have to cut down our order ." (as I was a little short on cash) It seemed to irritate him that we were going to split a dinner but I let it go. The order was was missing the cole slaw, so when the worker gave us 2 instead of 1 the owner (very rudely) blurts out "Hey! You only get 1, that will be extra!" Needless to say that was it & I asked for the food to go, The owner THEN accuses me of "begging for more food" and as we exchanged words tops it off by calling me a profane name in front of my wife and other customers (including about a 10 year old girl). The owner showed a total lack of class with an arrogant attitude. just as well we got it to go, the place was dirty with boxes stacked & items strewn about. I wonder how he'll treat the Health Dept.
