DON'T IGNORE ALL THE BAD REVIEWS!!!!!!.
DON'T IGNORE ALL THE BAD REVIEWS!!!!!!
The food is mediocre, but the service is scary bad. Other reviews mention the same awful waitress, but what they don't know is that SHE IS THE OWNERS WIFE!. Anyone else would be fired by treating customers so badly. She messed up our togo order by not giving us half of our order (but charged us in full). When I called back to see what happened she started screaming right off the bat, said it was our fault, THEN ACTUALLY HUNG UP ON US
I feel sorry for the rest of the employees that have to put up with her, but these days when getting treated badly has become a way of life in public, I don't know anyone that would want to chose to pay for the privilege.
As she goes crazy, other employees just shake their heads in disgust and her husband is just too scared of the monster he would have to face at home. My heart goes out to them, but she is at the very least horrible mean and nasty and at the most completely evil. Stay away from this place and go somewhere where the customer is at least treated civilly.
The reviewer that said that all the bad reviewers for this place must be on drugs. All I can say is that, he must have been lucky enough to not have his wife or his mother be a victim of this horrible person, or maybe he is just the type sh-eople that look forward to 45 min. lines at Disneyland.
You've been warned.
sloppy and unfriendly, outright hostile. I have been going to this place for a short while for the chicken and I was asking the unfriendly and almost hostile watresses and girl at the cash register if they would consider making the chicken without sauce like many of the progressive barbecue restaurants around and they got absolutely hostile and told me that if I didn't like the chicken, "don't buy it" Can you imagine if the owner heard that, if the owener even knew that these watresses and the girl at the register were that unfriendly and hostile to feedback, they'd be fired if they worked for me...the place is sloppy and they aren't at all hospitable...I have been there a number of times and ask for them to give it to me dry, but asking that really seemed to cause them to be hostile, and saying "don't buy it" to a regular customer surely shows my how undfriendly they must have been when I was just figuring they were unhappy with their job...I will never go there again and will tell people just how hostile and unfriendly they are...I own a business and have been in customer service jobs too, so I do know how they should be behaving toward pleasant customers
Timeless Place, Timeless Food. I've been going to My Brother's since I was a toddler. It is located a half-a-block's walk from my grandma's house. Every Sunday, at least 5 or 6 our large family would walk across the street, and grab some BBQ...you can't stay away! I haven't been in a few years, since I moved to the east coast, so I can't speak to some of the recent negative reviews. But the guy complaining about the sauce....well, that's just a matter of taste. I know for a fact that they haven't changed the recipe in 50 years, because I order a case of it by mail, its THAT good. Even with all of the gourmet BBQ sauces you can find in the supermarkets these days, none of them even comes close to the perfectly balanced, just a hint of spicyness, sweet and savory sauce My Brother's makes. My favorite has always been their simple, yet perfectly cooked beef sandwich....layers of paper-thing sliced tender beef, that's been roasted to perfection, on a delicious squishy bun....perfect for just soaking up tons of that amazing sauce! I suggest you all go in to this quaint, affordable local landmark and give it a try. This place is truly historic...not many of these kinds of family-owned businesses left on Ventura Bld., anymore....the Acapulco's and the Cheesecake Factories have been pushing these LA legend restaurants out for years. Support the movement for REAL FOOD....get to My Brother's!
Good service, Rustic atmosphere, mediocre food. I had high expectations when I went to My Bro's BBq, it's been here forever and survived the fall of "Love's BBq" to be the last man standing for years, and has that great cow on the roof. However, looks can be decieving, I ordered the Chicken sanwich which looked much better than it was. The sauce was so sweet that I could barely stand two consecutive bites, and made my lemonade taste bitter by comparison. The servers were very competent and were their saving grace. I heard about a new BBQ place not far away on Victory blvd. I hope I have better luck there.
Best BBQ Ever!. Best bbq ever! feels very homey...the baby back ribs are great, as well as their cheese bread and chilli cheese fries. YUM!!!
The best BBQ in the valley!!!. Delicious food, friendly portions, friendly service...what else can you ask for at a BBQ restaurant? A colleague of mine recommended this place, and their food was delicious! We've already gone three times within the past two months! The only downside is the size of the restaurant, it's small, it can seat about 20 people. So if you're really set on having dinner there, be sure to come a little early (like between 5 to 5:30 P.M.)! I don't think having a big party of people is such a good idea because of the size of the restaurant.
Best BBQ. Try the Texas chili. Sweet and spicey BBQ sauce, tender meaty ribs. My husband and I will keep going back.
Great bbq in Warner Center.
Great local institution thats been around for decades!
Friendly staff serves solid comfort bbq - very good brisket and pork ribs. The broasted chicken is also solid.
Prices are very reasonable, a great bargain compared to the upscale chains and every bit as good!
