best burger, great milkshakes, that expensive nothing, delightful menu, pretty good food, too expensive lunch
Run to Ruby's Diner!. My husband and I eat here quite often and we both love the food. My favorite is the Hickory Burbon Sliders with garlic fries. You can also get parmesan, cajun, and sweet potato fries refilled with your burgers. The Apple Pie A-la-mode is to die for! Ruby's ice cream is rich and creamy and is so flavorful. The apple pie tastes exactly like grandma use to make so this is a "must have" dessert. They have the best Cherry Coke with as many real cherries as you want, wow! Run to Ruby's Diner in Woodland Hills, CA.
1940s-style diner chain serves comfort food classics to patrons with a craving for nostalgia..
In Short
In 1982, businessman Doug Cavanaugh opened the first Ruby's in Southern California's Newport Beach, naming it after his mother. Today, this nationwide chain--adorned with red vinyl booths, Formica tables, soda fountains and retro posters--features the same timeless food and hospitality that keep diners coming back. Favorites are the classic burgers topped with secret RubySauce, fries and sweet shakes. Other staples include pancakes, omelettes, sandwiches, chili, salads and a variety of fountain treats.
Adorable and fun.. I like Ruby's, it's a cute little 50's-inspired place. They have a lot of stuff on their menu, but what I like is that now they have healthier items, like the Fit Fries and veggie burgers. I always appreciate places that cater to health-conscious customers, and this restaurant has started doing that. I know their milkshakes are great, and nothing is that expensive. It's a fun place for friends to eat at or families.
The menu is so delightful, as is the tastes.. The burgers have so many different combinations. The prices are in the mid-range, and the ambience is basic but nice, The environments pleasant as are the waiters & waitresses.
Yummy.. Ruby's Diner has the best burger going...at any price. But this year is their 20th anniversary and they featured a RubyBurger for 82 cents. Wow!!
Ruby's Lost Her Luster. The food is pretty good at Ruby's, but for the money, it's not worth it. Not that it's expensive, but if you go to a "diner", your $7.50 burger should come with fries. They shouldn't be another $1.50. Add in almost $2 for a coke, and you have a $10 lunch that's too expensive for what you are getting.
