always like food, great place, cool brewed root beer, great variety, great bar, great happy hour, great presence
Best Place to Get a Drink in the Area.
I love this place! There are alot of cool little dive bars in the area but if your looking for someplace a little less shady, with great beer and not as many creepers, this is where its at.
My favorite thing about BJ's? The AMAZING bartenders. Casey, Patrick and Andy are the best around. They make a damn good drink and always in a good mood. Polite and professional, I couldnt ask for more! I have never had a negative experience and I will contiune to go back.
But there was one thing I found kind of odd and thats the uniforms of the bartenders and managers. The bartenders seem to be dressed alot more professionally than the managers are (no tie?). The servers wear white shirts which is a little impractical for a server whos dealing with food all day. Just sayin...
Decent Beers. Huge beer selection in addition to their own brewed beers. Lambics on tap and many different Belgium brews in bottles. Prices reduced on their own beers during happy hour and reduced prices on appetizers. Enough televisions to catch a variety of sporting events.
Pazookie is terrific at all bj locations EXCEPT.... BJ pizza at Laguna Niguel California consistently rre-cooked the cookie pazookie for us and also other customers. Complained our server but he said "oh well."
Nice place. I love Bj's Restaurant, best asian salad! always busy though, but worth it, cool hang out place too !
Consistent chain, but it's true, it's all about the pazookie. This place is great. their food is always consistent. Never had a bad experience here. They have a great bar and a ton of beers on tap, but the truth is the major draw other than the big screens and beer is the pazookie. It's the most amazing cookie/ ice cream combination that you will ever put in your mouth. It's hard to go wrong with any menu choice here, but if anything do yourself a favor and try the chocolate chip pazookie
Pazookie.. One word: PAZOOKIE. That's the main reason people go to BJ's. There's really nothing like it. Who would have ever thought that a simple (but huge) cookie with ice cream on top could create such a frenzy? Aside from that amazing item, they have pretty good food, very Chicago-based (especially their deep dish pizza), usually in big portions. It's a fun place, I like it. But if you haven't ever had a Pazookie, GO. NOW.
Nice place to go with friends that won't break your wallet too much. Let's make things clear that even though they serve a thick crust pizza, it is nowhere near as good as a real Chicago deep dish. BJ's is one of those franchise restaurants where you can go with a group of friends and enjoy decent priced food and drink their own branded beer. Most people that go to this particular BJs are there to watch whatever sports game is being broadcast.
You can get what you want to eat with reasonable proce and good services. The services was not good before. i just noticed that the services are much better now. I always like the food. teh variety of food is also great. Of coise, pazookie is absolutely something you need to have.
A chain microbrewery satisfies with comfort-food classics and award-winning beers..
The Scene
BJ's boasts a trendy reclaimed-barn look with vaulted redwood beams. Eclectic touches abound; rococo mirrors sparkle against corrugated-iron walls and the odd chandelier sprouts absentmindedly amidst Art Deco lamps. The bar area boasts beer-label posters and the ubiquitous big-screen TV blaring the big game on ESPN.
The Food
The extensive, carbo-loaded menu is perfect for buffering those home brews. The bruschetta, loaded with tomatoes, is a favorite and the minestrone is stew-thick with a hint of oregano. The fish and chips gives mixed results: wedge-cut fries are seasoned and crispy; but the doughy, Blonde Ale-battered cod flounders without its tartar sauce. The pizzas are deep-dish, robust pies; the Spinach & Artichoke is lusciously creamy--a perfect yin-yang experience when split with spicy blackened chicken in an Alfredo sauce. For dessert, try a deep-dish Pizookie. The massive white-chocolate cookie comes studded with macadamias and topped with vanilla bean ice cream.
pazookie!. The pazookie is the main reason to go. If you go with a group, get the pazookie platter -- it has every kind of cookie fresh out of the oven covered in ice cream. Their brewed root beer is cool too, comes frosted in a glass with no ice.
