No complaints – I have Motion Picture insurance, which is pretty dependable, so I've rarely had any issues with my CPAP unit or supplies. Occasionally there are bills outstanding but that's true of any medical facility and insurance company. I've paid almost nothing out of pocket and almost always get my supplies right when I need them. Interactions with staff in person and on phone has been okay, though sometimes I need to call twice to get their attention, which is the only reason I didn't give them a 5.
Great Service – I had a great experience with Apguard. When I was set up on my BiPap unit the invoice clearly said rental. I think the other 2 reviews did not pay attention to the invoice when they were set up and just do not want to pay the bill. Anyway, I called Apguard for my BiPap and it was delivered the same day. I have had to call them 3 times for reinstruction and once thay came back to my home. The other 2 times the re instruction was done on the phone. The older you get the more forgetfull you become. Before I was with another company for my CPAP unit and they did not ever have a Respiratory Therapist on staff..That was scarry. I have been informed by Apguard that they have 9. Great company with a great staff.. the other 2 reviews need to pay their bills and review their invoices.
They are criminals, they cheated me also. – I had the exact same experience! They did the same thing to me. They charged my insurance company more then twice the full price of the equipment and lead me too believe that I owned it. Four months after my lease was over they began contacting me to pay them for the lease payments the insurance company was not paying... I did not even know it was lease.
They wanted $1000 over the retail price on the machine. So I told them no. When I refused to pay they threatened legal action. This is a scam company! Do not work with them. They extorted 2800 from me for a used machine that cost 1800 brand new. And they still have not taken the complaint off my credit, will not return my calls. It cost me a refi on my house.
Unhappy Client – In April 2007, APGUARD provided me with a CPAP machine for sleep apnea. From their representations, I believed that it was a purchase. The machine did not work for my sleep apnea, in fact it made my situation worse. I stopped trying after two months. For 18 months they did not send me a bill, although until my insurance changed Jan. 2008 and they billed my insurance for 2007. They did not call me to either get new insurance info or let me know that rental charges were due, but let approximately $300 a month accrue until September 2008. I had no indication from them that the machine was a rental until 18 months later. Even then, I was not sent a bill until I requested one. To resolve the dispute, I offered to come into their store and meet with them. Many letters were exchanged, but no one at the company was even willing to sign their name to a letter much less meet with me. Letters were signed by generic titles. Rather than meeting with me to try to resolve the bill, they sent it to a collection agency. If you are going to deal with Apguard, request monthly bills for any amounts owed. Ask very specific questions about each and eery charges. They use sloppy billing methods that work only in their favor.
