view & uploadgreat food, outstanding service, very good price, great quick breakfast, good homemade everything, great inexpensive breakfast place, amazing local spot
Amazing local spot. Nat's is just like a dinner should be. Great, funny waiters, fantastic food, homemade everything (including the jam!) and devoted fans... like my family!
Nat's ...like the best NY diners. Nat's can be counted on no matter what one orders. Fast service, fresh food, friendly service. Top notch diner, numerous choices. Always good.
Great inexpensive breakfast place, Usual weekend wait of 30 mins but easy on weekdays.. This is just the kind of breakfast place that you want to have a few blocks away and where you can be a regular and they'll remember your name. Everything on the menu is done right and the coffee is pretty good and it's inexpensive by LA standards. Parking can be a bit tight as it is located in a small strip mall. But you'll get a spot on the street at least. Next door is a nostalgic toy store which is fun to browse while you wait for a table on weekends. The place seats about 50 people so the wait isn't very long usually. They have a bin full of the day's papers so there's always something to read also. There's usually no wait on weekdays.
great neighborhood restaurant.
The decor leaves a lot to be desired, but the staff is very friendly and the food is always great. I've been countless times for breakfast and lunch, and there is so much on the menu that everyone will be happy.
They give out placemats to color and crayons so my son is always happy. There is sometimes a wait, but that's what you get when you consistently provide very good food at very good prices.
Fast Service & Great Food. If you find yourself in Van Nuys and you want breakfast, then you MUST go to Nat's. It's in a mini mall and I guarntee that every car in the parking lot is for Nat's. Because this is a local favorite, try to arrive early (not sure if reservations are possible). The service is OUTSTANDING. There's almost one worker per patron. You never wait for more than 10 seconds to ask for anything. The food is GREAT. I only had breakfast, but if it's a judge of their menu, then everything must be good. The price was beyond reasonable. Bottom line, if you're in the San Fernando Valley, GO TO NAT'S. It is well worth it.
Great quick breakfast.
On the weekend mornings you might have to wait (normally not more that 15 minutes), but overall, I'd say its worth it.
Really good straight drip coffee. Excellent egg scramble combinations, my favorite is the Mexican Scramble with chorizo and avacodo. Be sure to get some of the homemade strawberry or apricot/pineapple jam for your toast, sometimes you have to ask for it. A great breakfast spot.
Decent breakfast fare. While I question a restaurant that has an item called "The Power Squat" on their menu, Nat's has decent food at a reasonable price. The waffles are tasty and the bacon has been cooked to perfection every time. Service can be a little slow at times.
Home away from Home. The best breakfast, lunch AND dinner for the price and coffee shop food. Excellent service. Wonderful homemade jams and salsa. Very comfortable, easy, casual atmosphere. Parking can be tough but more than worth it. Besides, you can always pop your head in the head shop a few doors down, grab an LA Weekly and you're set!
Packed Local Hangout. There aren't many other alternatives for a diner in the Burbank/Hazeltine area ... so Nat's is always very crowded. It's a good local spot. Food is so-so, but it's not pricey either. The place is also kid friendly, so family dining is easy here. The menu is somewhat limited. I wouldn't recommend the hashbrowns for breakfast - they're too dry. But everything else was good. I haven't had lunch or dinner yet, but will likely try them since I live in the neighborhood. For a real brunch, however, I'd go to Jinky's where there's more choice and the food is better.
Great Local Spot. Nats is full of locals. A great sign for any restaurant. You may have to wait for a table on weekends, but never for that long, and the food is worth the wait. Pancakes, waffles and omelettes are favorites, and there's a "healthy" menu for those who feel the need to avoid egg yokes and bacon. Avoid the "fancy" dishes like eggs benedict. You've got about a 25% chance of the Hollendaise sauce looking and tasting like Hollendaise sauce. Try their homemade muffins and jams also. They're fantastic.
