The worst Babies R Us i have ever seen

I went to Babies R Us in Van Nuys , CA to exchange the car seat that i bought from there, because it was defective. And the manager of the store he is name is Luis said i can not exchange , because he thinks that nothing wrong with the car seat . But the strap of the car seat is very loose and it is not safe for a child at all, i even showed him to prove that it is REALLY NOT SAFE. So he got mad and said either you buy a new one or leave the store. I was shocked to see his attitude. I could not believe that he was the manager. Because he has no skills to be a manager , he is not professional. He was very racist too. Sham on Babies R Us corporate who hires people like Luise with no skills , no manners who is rude to customers. Thanks to the customers he gets paid. I will never go back to that Babies R Us. Now do not get me wrong i love shopping at Babies R Us, i just dont like that store in Van Nuys because of their customer service . I DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE TO SHOP IN THAT BABIES R US, I THINK NO ONE DESERVES TO BE TREATED LIKE THAT. I am SO DISAPPOINTED with Babies R Us in Van Nuys in California.

i agree with Behin, don't go there. The store manager Scott is a liar. He make empty promise just to get you out of the store. After that he can't be reach. The assistant manager Luis doesn't know his work schedule and no idea when will Scott be in or back to "work". No one in the store knows the manager's work schedule? you got to be kidding me...........I am trying to search in internet and get hold of the district manager and contact him directly but couldn't find any info.....

Terrible customer service

I just got home from visiting this store and I am still shaking I am so upset. I am 8 months pregnant and I have never been treated the way I was treated today by the manager at this store. I walked in and asked one of the employees about their return policy of an item that was purchase from my registry the day before and appeared to have been opened already. She went to the manager and came back and said that they don't accept returns and that she can't help me any further. She was giving me a lot of attitude so I asked to speak with the manager. She said that manager is busy and can't come to the front to speak with me and that if I wanted to talk to him I would have to walk to the back of the store myself. As soon as I approached Scott, the manager, he said I thought we made the return policy clear to you, we can't help you. I said but don't you even want to hear what I have to say first. He got really rude and said that he didn't have time and that if I didn't leave he would call security to escort me out??? I was so shocked, what had I done??? I said Ok I will leave but I will call the corporate to complain and in response he said: "GOOD, they are waiting for your phone call. Bye, have a good day now" I am still in disbelief of what happened. I am so mad and feel humiliated. I had to drive to the Agoura Hills store to finally get the help I needed. How can a big franchise like this promote someone like Scott? Avoid shopping from them if you can. It is really not worth the energy and the horrible horribel customer service.

terrible guest services

Babies R Us is far from our home and I made a phone call to make sure they had an item in stock (infant organic sleepsack). I called two days in a row before the product was in stock. I finally went there, on a hot summer day with my teenage daughter and infant child waiting in the car for me. I went to customer service and the woman behind the counter made very little effort in getting my item, which should have already been behind the counter, since that was what I was told. After 10-minutes and the crowd had subsided, I asked her again about my product and with a blank expression on her face, she made another phone call to have "furniture" give her a call. Nothing had been done this whole entire time. She wasn't even apologetic about anything. To add salt on the wound, they came back with my product, instead of two, they came back with one. At this point, I had been in the store for 35 minutes waiting for a product that should have only taken me five minutes to purchase. I have been a fan of Babies R Us up to this point and since June I haven't been frequenting the store like I used to. It's such a turn-off to have bad customer service like this. I spoke with a manager that evening when I got home and he was very protective about the employee and said that he knew her very well and that she probably didn't mean it. Whatever.

I used to spend hundreds of dollars there and received lots of points on my Rewards card and to this day, I'd rather not go there. I'm better off ordering online and not having to deal with them. Physical and economic damage? They've lost my loyalty and a very large bulk of my business.

AWFULL!!!

I was treated like a 3rd class citizen at this store, and all the employees cover each others backs, the customer is on their own, its like a mafia in there. We purchase literally thousands of dollars worth of baby stuff there over the years. my 2 year old was thirsty, and i got a water bottle from the cooler, when i was harrassed about purchasing it before opening it, and in such an accusatory way, the customer service there are 3rd class citizens, and they think all their customers, maybe because of the area, are also 3rd class citzens like them. do not go to this store. Suzy is not the manager, and she claimed she was. I was so beyond humiliated by these low life employees, who obviously have no training on how to work politely with the consumer who pays their paycheck so they can live their sorry lives.
