The one in Sherman Oak's suc&$! Eat at the original one in Los Angeles the food taste better! The 5 stars are for the one in Los Angeles on 6th st. The one is sherman oaks get 2 Stars they don't cook and serve the food the same way and that make a big difference. The Kuishimbo in Los Angeles is delicious! I recommended!!! It's worth the drive.

High quality Japanese food at excellent prices

UPDATE 12/16/08: the owner sold this location last year (but not the business name or its recipes) to someone else and sub-leased the store to her. She never took down the signs though and ended up ruining his reputation with her bad food. She has since closed up shop. The original owner may end up reopening this location. The L.A. location (6th street) is doing well though and still has the same great food.

Per dollar, this has got to be the Japanese food in L.A. I'm saying that because the quality of the food is excellent and the prices are very reasonable. The cuts of meat, chicken and fish (sushi) are high quality. The sauces are savory. Even the salad dressing... wow. Just start with the chicken teriyaki and see how different it is from the other generic Japanese joints. It's hard to find better Japanese food for the money.

IF YOU ENJOY SUSHI AND TERRIYAKI YOU WILL TRULY ENJOY KUISHIMBO IN VENTURA THE COZY YET SOPHISTICATED SURRONDINGS MAKES IT ONE OF THE BEST RESTAURANTS NOT TO MENTION THERE VERY REASONABLE PRICES
